He's even got a bio page.

http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/chc/fan_forum/clark.jsp

Quote:
Clark was born loving the Cubs - it's in his blood! His great-grandbear Joa was once the original live bear mascot for the team back in the early 1900s. When Joa retired to the Lincoln Park Zoo, he delighted the young bears with hundreds of amazing Cubs stories, and Clark was hooked! He dreamed of making his great grand-bear proud and playing for the Cubs - even though he'd never even seen a game.

Then one day, Clark heard the roar of the crowd coming all the way from Wrigleyville. Determined to finally see the Cubs in person, he followed the sound to Wrigley Field, just in time to see the Cubs raise the W flag.

Inspired by Clark's enthusiasm and love of all things Cub, the team invited him to continue the family tradition and become their official mascot! Soon, he had his very own Clubhouse, and you can usually find him there. His favorite thing to do is hang out around the ballpark, keeping spirits high and kids excited! Next time you're at a game, make sure to stop by and say hi!

Clarks Stats

Height: Smaller than the average bear
WEIGHT: Lighter than the average bear
UNIFORM NUMBER: 1
BATS: Right Paw
THROWS: Right Paw
CATCHES: Bear-handed

Clarks Favorites

FAVORITE COLOR: Cubbie Blue
FAVORITE VACATION SPOT: Mesa, Arizona
FAVORITE SONG: "Go, Cubs, Go" of course!
BIRTHDAY: Clark was born in August
HOBBIES: Collecting baseball cards, and practicing his t-ball swing
ICE CREAM FLAVOR: Chocolate malt cups!
HOME:Clark's Clubhouse
MOVIE: Rookie of the Year

Smart move. They will have 4 uniforms made in the next 30 days and have him booked for Birthdays by the weekend!

Anything to bring in the money is fine with me.

It wouldn't have to be gypsies. You could probably find a faction of season ticket holders willing to do this.

Is Clark's favorite donut the BEAR CLAW?

Clark was born in August

How convenient. Nothing much going on that month.

It would be funny if his favorite song was like "Aqualung"or something.

So what's the objection to this? Red Sox have a mascot and won. Cardinals do just fine. Phillies won couple years ago. This is marketing deparment not baseball operations. Ricketts? I've fine with him dedicating his efforts on mascot development. Let him stay away from real business endeavors since he proved he's an idiot and can't handle those.

If they're gonna use the ever-so-clever "right PAW", why not, for fuck's sake, just make him a southpaw?

Will they introduce Addison the Bear as his love interest next year? The good thing about that is that Addison can be a guy or a girl's name. Tom Tunney would enjoy the former.

Wow. They are really grasping at ways to copy successful organizations like the Red Sox, Phillies and the White Sox.

Yeah, that wasn't the same joke.

Don't be so defensive about your Cubbie Bear.
