GD those are what the best RB's the Broncos faced did. I believe Lynch is a top 5 RB (no worse than 7) and my point was good running backs had success against them even though they didn't run a lot because they were behind.

No Super Bowl favorite has laid fewer than 2½ points since 1982.

Less than a week ago it was NFC -3 over AFC and Seattle -1 over Denver. Sunday's results worthy of a 3-4 point swing? I don't think so.

They're not on the road. They looked pretty good against a great Saints team on the road.

They are on the road, & they looked average at best against the Saints. Broncos win the SB by double digits.

Concentrate less on Peyton and more on Wilson. He seems to be regressing.

Peyton isn't losing to a game manager unless it's 30 MPH winds.

That's the wrong way to look at it. The Seahawks didn't get where they are because of Wilson, they got there because of their great defense. Manning has to beat a defense that held the Saints to 22 points in 2 games and only gave up 14 points a game during the season. That's going to be tough because of all the reasons I listed earlier in this thread and I don't think he can do it.

The Seahawks aren't playing at home. Peyton will get at least 28 points on the board.

As I mention earlier the Seahawks held 4 teams to 10 points or less on the road but only did that 3 times at home. Besides this isn't a road game. It's a game on a neutral field. It is more likely that a Seahawks defense (that only gave up 28 points once all season against some great competition) will shut down a Broncos team that didn't face a good defense all year than it is the Broncos will have an offensive explosion.

Have the Seahawks faced a offense other than the Saints that could be as good as the Broncos? I think the Denver offense is much better than the Saints.

Aren't the Chiefs just as good or better as a defense? They only scored less than 27 once all season until the playoffs and in both playoff games they went conservative toward the end with a big lead and still finished in the mid 20s.

The Seahawks will have to score near 30 to win this game.

The Seahawks have played against great competition. They've played against great offenses and defenses. Brees is a top 5 QB in a great offensive system. Brees or Sean Peyton couldn't figure out the Seahawks defense. Manning hasn't faced a top 15 defense all year. He's now facing the #1 defense. They couldn't score 30 points at home against some awful defenses and now you expect them to score 30 on the Seahawks? The Seahawks have only given up 30 points twice in their last 45 games (including the playoffs) therefore it is highly unlikely they'll give up that many points against the Broncos.

The Chiefs have the 26th ranked passing defense in the NFL. The Seahawks are #1.

Probably because they played the Broncos twice.

Do you honestly think the Seahawks can score 17 points and beat the Broncos?

The Seahawks offense will likely be better than the Broncos. They are better prepared to face the Broncos defense than the Broncos offense is to face their #1 ranked defense. Peyton won't come close to 300 yards passing.

I think you are crazy. I guess we'll see.

The only thing stopping the Broncos offense is weather.

I'm praying to the football Gods so the weather won't be an excuse. Peyton will get hit early and often and he won't like it. The game won't be close. Defense wins championships.

Just proclaiming something as fact, doesn't make it so.

Both teams were 6-2 on the road, and in case you forgot, it's a road game for Denver, too.

Seattle outscored their opponents on the road by 63 points Seattle's road opponents had 65 wins.
Denver outscored their opponents on the road by 71 points Denver's road opponents had 64 wins.

Seattle has the better running game, and better defense, which bodes well for poor weather, if that is indeed the case.

But by all means, continue to talk out of your ass.

Because I was hopeful that the defense would be good enough to win with. Besides my love of the Bears gets in the way of my objectivity.

It was nearly 70 degrees for the AFC title game. Odds are it will be below 40, but you never know.

If it is I hope the wind or snow isn't an issue. I don't want to hear any weather excuses.
