That's the wrong way to look at it. The Seahawks didn't get where they are because of Wilson, they got there because of their great defense. Manning has to beat a defense that held the Saints to 22 points in 2 games and only gave up 14 points a game during the season. That's going to be tough because of all the reasons I listed earlier in this thread and I don't think he can do it.
The Seahawks aren't playing at home. Peyton will get at least 28 points on the board.

They scored 24 at home against the Chargers and 26 against the pats

You think they score more against Seattle?

I think you are crazy. I guess we'll see.

The only thing stopping the Broncos offense is weather.

How bout Petyon's horrible wounded ducks?

Yes. Against the Chargers, they were in control all game. They had a comfortable lead almost the whole game until the end. The same was true with the Patriots. I think they could have scored 30 against each of them if they wanted. They just played conservatively. Now, if they pull out to a comfortable lead against Seattle maybe they only score 24. I don't see them scoring under 28 and losing. Seattle will need to get into the 30s to beat them.

Broncos will roll in a one sided game. Russell Wilson won't beat Peyton Manning.

Im sure people thought the 01 Pats would have to score 30 to beat the Rams. Turned out 17 was enough.

Seahawks are just another team on the road. Denver rolls.

Just proclaiming something as fact, doesn't make it so.

Both teams were 6-2 on the road, and in case you forgot, it's a road game for Denver, too.

Seattle outscored their opponents on the road by 63 points Seattle's road opponents had 65 wins.
Denver outscored their opponents on the road by 71 points Denver's road opponents had 64 wins.

Seattle has the better running game, and better defense, which bodes well for poor weather, if that is indeed the case.

But by all means, continue to talk out of your ass.

I wouldn't be so quick to say Seattle has the superior ground game. Ball and Moreno combined for over 1,500 yards and over 4.4 YPC.

Seattle is certainly more devoted but also more dependent on the success of the run.

I would imagine the Broncos have a similar running day to the Saints two weeks ago, which was over 108 on 4.1 YPC.

As was pointed out earlier, Seattle played much tougher defenses along the way. Both teams played the pathetic AFC South, but Seattle had much tougher division opponents.

The Saints got probably a third of those rushing yards on one drive, where Ingram ran hard. That drive ended with no points, and the running game was pretty much non-existent after that. Brees threw 43 passes.

A lot of Denver's yards on the ground, came after Peyton shredded the opponent in the first half. I don't see him shredding this team, nor do I see Denver picking up a ton of yards on the ground.

Denver couldn't put away the Patriots even with their terrible D. I don't think those crossing routes are going to work against Seattle, and we know Peyton can't really throw deep anymore.

I agree with the points that people have made, that I hope weather is not an excuse, right now talk of mid 20's on ESPN.

I'd say if you like the Seahawks, take the under too, if the Seahawks win, we will hear that this was the lowest amount of points Denver scored all year.

I do like the under, but I think the total will rise as we approach kickoff.

I will be very tempted to throw down early if it hits +3 with the anticipation that NY at night in early February will have wind, low temperatures and precipitation. I can then buy out of it if that changes but I would have gotten the best I think the line will get and anticipate the more likely situation.

It was nearly 70 degrees for the AFC title game. Odds are it will be below 40, but you never know.

Because the weather in NYC 2 weeks later in February is usually very close to the weather in Denver, Co.

In the event that the Super Bowl XLVIII date and/or venue is changed due to severe weather conditions, all existing open bets on the game and on the game's related bets (props) will be considered action and stand until the game is played.

Weather forecast is for 32 and wet.

If this holds true, I will be putting a large play on the Seahawks. It's at -2 right now so I missed an opportunity to buy it to 3. The best play at this point is probably the ML.

I only saw bovada at 3 and they're notorious for giving dogs an extra .5-1 point. Offshore books that don't have shitty limits never went above 2.5.

Should have in your minds your plays by now. Now just a matter of jumping in at best number/odds.

I'm on Seahawks ML and Under.

Opinion on best time to jump on Seahawks? I'm nervous there really is nowhere to go but down. I see under currently at 48.5 and thinking it has some room to grow. I'll play that right before kick.

Manning is the MVP.

This is the 30th straight game, where the Broncos have been the favorite.

Today's game is only the fifth time in 48 Super Bowls, that the point spread is less than a field goal.
