On Sundays I park in the right turning lane downtown because it's legal to do so.

Often times there is a space or two at the front and I pull in and some jerk ass pulls behind me and starts honking.

I kinda feel bad, but what can I do?

What you call passive I call being courteous to others.

It's just being smart IMO. The people who are cutting aren't slowing up traffic because the other lane is already exiting. You're sitting in traffic an extra 20 mins because you choose to.

So you just have an issue with someone getting in front of you?

only if they are using a non-driving lane to do so.

It would be smart to knock over other people running out of a burning building but it isnt good form.

That sounds like an issue to take up with the police not with the people that are taking advantage of the sloppy police work.

But it does.

Nas gets away with driving in the parking lane. Nas is not the villian. The people who let him get away with it are.

According to you

Wrong again. Driving in a parking lane is illegal. Suing based on owning patents is not....yet.

I take the Metra downtown. I would NEVER EVER drive downtown. Assholes galore! Better to WALK to the Metra station, get on the train, and put on the noise cancelling headphones.

Beats by Rod Craig.

ERIC: Hey, man - what are you hassling me for? This is just a gig, it's not my life. I don't know who Bozo is, what - is he a clown?

GEORGE: Is he a clown? What, are you kidding me!?

ERIC: Well, what is he?

GEORGE: Yes, he's a clown!

ERIC: Alright, so what's the big deal! There's millions of clowns!

GEORGE: Alright, just forget it.

ERIC: Me forget it? You should forget it! You're livin' in the past, man! You're hung up on some clown from the sixties, man!

GEORGE: Alright, very good, very good...go fold your little balloon animals, Eric. Eric! What kind of name is that for a clown, huh?

I was never wrong to begin with.

You admit that the patent system is fucked up and needs to be fixed

The driving in parking lanes system is fucked up and needs to be enforced

Either way, the abuser is not the target.

I obey any "no driving in curb lane" signs I see. Otherwise be it to facilitate traffic getting past left-turners, right-turners or slower traffic, using two lanes at intersections simply makes sense.

Studies have shown that both lanes should be used until the merge occurs. Those penises who get over a good mile away are the morons.

the worst merges are the ones back to 90 heading east toward the 290 exit. people are going like 90 miles an hour and they don't care that you have to merge, let alone cross 3 lanes to get to the exit lane. every time i have to do that my heart palpitates.

I once saw someone get on 290 going east at Austin, and proceed to merge across 3 lanes at nearly full speed to exit maybe 100 feet later at Central. Maybe one of the most dangerous and hilarious things I've ever witnessed in semi-heavy traffic.
