NFL officials on Wednesday conceded that contingency plans call for the championship game to be played at any point between Friday, Jan. 31 and Monday, Feb. 3 at MetLife Stadium.

The good news is Eric Grubman, the NFL’s vice president for business operations, said if the kind of storm that dumped more than a foot of snow on most of New Jersey on Tuesday is forecasted for Super Bowl Sunday, the game would likely go off at its scheduled kickoff time of 6:30 p.m.

How is it a disaster if the Super Bowl is played in the snow? Some of the greatest football games of all time were because of the weather.

Both the AFC and NFC championship game could have been played in the same stadium two weeks earlier. Should we move the whole playoffs to Florida?

Expand that stadium and host the Super Bowl there every year. Have the state pick up the cost of expansion as it will be a boon for tourism. Run Senior Bowl games, combines, Christmas eve Hula Bowl, UH games, a few marquee NCAA event type games each year and...put on a hard push with the NCAA to get the NCAA championship tournament.
