Dan "the Duke" Davis just called JaMarcus Russell "JaMarcus Aldridge" on the sports center update. I thought that was funny, although this would probably classify as "minutia".

My post in the Mike and Mike section. Sean Salisbury filled in

Quote:
I heard a "Rob Peter to pay Paul" and I switched the station.

Edit: I turned espn 1000 back on at 8:50 and they were talking about the 2005 white sox compared to now. Sean said "They all had career years that year including Jermain Dye, Jim Thome, Tadihito Iguchi......"

Same old Sean can't get his facts together. If they had Jim Thome then they would have gone 11-0 in the playoffs not 11-1.

numbers wise, dye's career year would have been 2006

A few years ago, I came to the conclusion that just because it's in Websters it isn't necessarily a word.

My favorite is Irregardless....

Ivan.
I think the bobble head you have as your AV should serve as the Cooperstown Bust for pudge.
BTW, can we still call him that after the mysterious weight loss coinciding with the start of steroid testing?

Irregardless of his weight loss and steroid accusations, he deserves to be in the HOF

Sadly enough, that is a picture taken from a Tigers game last week.

Just heard "The Duke" mention JaMarcus Aldridge again. Are they afraid to correct him because he's old?

That's OK, Bob Picozzi STILL can't pronounce Esteban Loaiza's name correctly.

"Es-TAY-BON Loaiza got the loss today. (puts head through window)

Today on the Void Formerly Known as The Dan Patrick Show, Keith Jackson was asked if he missed traveling. He replied by saying no, and that he had only been in one airport in two years. So, did you not fly, or did your pilot decide to turn the plane around on takeoff?

A quick thumbs up to the new Big Ten Network.Great to have NU, Michigan , OSU and Penn State on at the same time at Slappyland yesterday. The only bad thing about is that it's not in HD and I'm sure Mac will attest to that. We had a Michigan grad over yesterday and his hangover today is a result of Chad Henne and Coach Carr. I have a tvo of it and have had it on all morning for his enjoyment.

A quick thumbs up to Stu for giving out that Norte Dame pick late Friday night. Our bookie is not to happy today after guys were lining up at his door this morning. The guys have a little something in an envolpe for you BUDDY.

Yes I have to add to the thumbs up on the Big 10 Network, getting to see all the Big 10 teams, not just one game and replays later, we get those too, but we got to see all the games live.

On an added note, What a start for the new network, not only the Michigan game, but the Minnesota game they had later, Minnesota was down 21-0, tied it and went up 24-21 with a minute to go, Bowling Green got a late field goal to send it to overtime. Then after the Gophers score a td, Bowling Green scores a td to make it 31-30, go for 2 and get it to win 32-31.
