Some fast food chain they have in Vegas.

Tough to screw up an omelette. They succeeded in doing it though.

When I see people eating there in new Orleans, it just exemplifies stupidity. I am actually surprised they even let one open in the quarter, as they take pride on not letting the BK's, MCD's Popeyes etc in that area and fuck it up.

It always seems like a good idea going to In & Out while in Vegas but it never ends up being worth the hassle. And I love that place.

I usually make it the first stop after landing, or the last stop before heading to the airport. Definitely wouldn't take time out of the main part of the trip to trek over there, but it's definitely good stuff.

I didn't stay at a hotel on the strip. And never set foot in a casino either. I'll keep this in mind if I ever have to go back to Vegas.

Sounds like the worst Vegas trip ever.

Did you enjoy the pollution and rocks?

It was amazingly clear.

If I never set foot on a casino floor I'll die a happy man.

Do you also go to Mexico and avoid the beach and the pool?

BRUTALLY BAD AND OVER RATED!

slightly better than a Big Mac! Just because it got mentioned in a Beasties Song, does not make it a good burger. They are just a faceless corp that sell napkins, t shirts and cups to their franchisees.

If In and Out is on your dining list in vegas, I will assume the Holiday Inn express was your resort

In N Out is the best fast-food chain type burger I have ever had. Not even close. Way better than 5 guys, Meatheads, etc.

I've never eaten it in Vegas though. I can't take the time away from the casinos to get fast food.

I would go to Mexico and do exactly that if my wife wanted to go there.

I hung out with Otis and some other friends.

Dont need to set foot in the casino.

You could eat all day, shop, sight see in one place without dropping dime on hand .

I think the pre 1990's stats had 93% of visitors gambled and I think it is down in the 60% nowadays and the resorts are designed for other interests,.

I think when most people use the term "casino" in Vegas, they mean the whole resort. We hang at the pool, shop, eat, gamble, drink, etc and never leave the casino. Unless we go to a different casino.

I used to gamble. Small time stuff.

You look at places like Wynn and Encore and you think "they didn't build those places because people were leaving town with Wynn's money."

No one thinks the casinos are in the red.

However...they do pay out sometimes, and the thrill is that you are hoping it will pay out to you.

That's a good reason to spend your money on something that has a 0% chance of giving you money back.

the key to vegas is over time they win. More time spent, they are going to win.

Spend less time

So you go a lot, but spend less time with each visit?

Or after a number of years, you stop going?

I'm not worried about losing money gambling when I'd be losing money in other ways on pretty much any vacation anywhere.

Just do other stuff. Not even sure how I used to gamble at a table for 10 hours a day, but i did.

Now I go Boating, ATV, Shooting, Golf, Concerts, much better dinners (no more buffets)

Bet on games still plenty, then play when we get back. Shower get ready for dinner, come down, play 30 minutes, eat, go and play for couple hours, then maybe go out, or come back and play.

I dropped a grand for 36 hours in Vegas. I got to spend time with some relatives that I am rarely able to see. I went to my niece's wedding and got to meet Otis Day. I consider it money well spent. Something that my relatives and I got a lot of joy from.

Now, if I drop the same money in Steve Wynn's pocket, then i get nothing tangible other than the thought that I just wasted a grand that was better spent somewhere else.

did you pay for your room? Dinner?

Dropping a grand at Hard rock, free room or at the very least a very heavy discount

free rooms for that at the Monte carlo

they fly you in at the Golden Nugget!
