The Broncos defense has been the story of their playoff run. Their offense has been average

That wasn't an average offense against NE. That was an all-time great QB controlling every aspect of a victory over his more celebrated rival.

Ill amend. The defense has been the bigger reason for success, imo

Extreme cold? Manning won the SuperBowl in the rain with the Colts.
This is the exact opposite of the knock on Manning.

Are you really saying you dont understand that bad weather usually favors offense?

The knock on Manning is for a long time he was average in the biggest games.

Did you see the Super Bowl he won? it was raining.

It depends on the weather and the type of team. The Broncos are going to struggle in windy conditions. The Broncos would probably struggle in temperatures in the teens.

Rain can help a passing team if it doesn't come with a lot of wind.

If the weather is 40 degrees with low winds like they are now predicting, I don't really think it benefits either team.

Yup. You better prepare for the quoting firestorm when the Broncos either win or score 28 points.

BTW, Seahawks gave up 28 once this year and averaged 14.4

So the disrespect is a vicious circle

Is Seattle's defense even definitively better than San Francisco's?

Seattle's defense won't even be the best defense on the field on Sunday. 5.0 yds per carry does not a great defense make, and that's what the Seahawks defense has been giving up in the playoffs on average. Seahawks defense has coughed up 135 yards per game rushing to 65 yards a game for the Broncos defense. They've been equal on pass defense--except the Broncos defense faced Phil Rivers and Tom Brady in good conditions for passing while Seattle had Kaepernick and an away from home Drew Brees in awful conditions for passing.

Seattle D: 0 points, safety, three turnovers, and a td

Seattle d outscoring Peytin

I'm prepared...

How long do I have to wait for this firestorm?

I don't think it will be coming.

Which comes first... BD and I apologizing to you for Tebow, or you apologizing to the board for this equally horrendous prediction?

Equally?

I believe you predicted 24 points, so you should probably be apologizing too then.

You were saying it with such certainty, as if the Broncos were going to roll out of bed and score 28

Do you still believe the Broncos Offense is historically great? Any change on Seattle's D?

So what? I was confident in my prediction and I was wrong. You act like it is some great statement to think you'll be right. Do you often make predictions you feel will be wrong? I mean, we all know this is the NFL and the unexpected happens all the time. That's why I wanted you to make a prediction. You went with 21 points. FavreFan went with 24 points. I'm obviously quite surprised at how the Broncos were completely outmatched. I would guess you are too.

Yes, the Broncos offense is historically great. It wasn't yesterday. It's just like the undefeated(almost) Patriots were historically great for going 16-0. That doesn't go away because they had a bad game.

I don't think I had a strong opinion on the Seattle D. What they did yesterday surprised me. I didn't think any defense was going to be able to do that to the Broncos.

I know. I just wish you had been more assertive. You seemed close to making a great prediction.

When it comes to predicting outcomes of games I'm pretty bad actually. I'm sure I'm under .500.
