Toews tried to fight Thornton and lost. Comically. Bollig, Shaw, and Brookbank couldn't take him. John Scott could have, but Thornton wouldn't have gone. He's also a star scorer, so he's immune from supplemental discipline. He's basically bulletproof.

I sort of agree, but that's not the way it works though. Never has been.

SJ employs goons too. That's their job.


Plus, another part of the advantage of being 6'4 and huge and fast is that he will flatten guys legally too. And he has. He's now on the downside of his career though. He shouldn't be the focal point of anybody at this point.
