How's that for a headline?

Some people go with clever or witty for these things. When it comes to hockey, I think simple is more appropriate. Like the hockey players and their white fans.

@ 9:30.

I'm drinking.

This Wisconsin/Michigan game on NBC sports is pretty damn good for college hockey.

Plenty of action. Hawks look OK. Couple of goalpost shots. Niemi said no.

That power play was uninspired.

God, the Sharks get away with so much shit. It was about this time in 2012 that Thornton took Toews out for the year, come to think of it.

Thornton gets away with so much shit to be more precise.

I was nervous there for a sec until Toews got up. That was a nasty hit - that looked like a broken arm. .

I agree, but there's a reason why that doesn't happen.

Hes not much of a fighter though, just a big fucking goof. He'd never drop them with an enforcer type but has no problem gooning up smaller guys. Ultimate pussy.

He a big tough MF'er. Agree he's not a fighter, but guys that are 6'4" and 240 and super athletic don't exactly have to be "fighters".

He's a douche. But he's a badass. Keith Tkachuk was a douche. But he was a big tough SOB.

Toews tried to fight Thornton and lost. Comically. Bollig, Shaw, and Brookbank couldn't take him. John Scott could have, but Thornton wouldn't have gone. He's also a star scorer, so he's immune from supplemental discipline. He's basically bulletproof.

Scott would've beat the snot out of him but yeah, Thornton would never drop them with him.

Nor should he.

The best scorer on any team doesn't drop them with a goon. They never have.

So....refs aren't gonna do it obviously, so somebody on the Hawks better stop Shepard and stop him quickly.

Dude is playing dirty.

If the best scorer on the team is going to continually be a cheap shot bagina , he should expect retribution from said goon.

I sort of agree, but that's not the way it works though. Never has been.

SJ employs goons too. That's their job.

Plus, another part of the advantage of being 6'4 and huge and fast is that he will flatten guys legally too. And he has. He's now on the downside of his career though. He shouldn't be the focal point of anybody at this point.
