For the same reasons that I like Jim Harbaugh. I'm a guy who likes college football more than the NFL, I root for college coaches who make the jump to the NFL...with the exception of Greg Schiano of course! What's not to like about Carroll? He has had success in both NCAA & the NFL, he's a great coach, his players love him, & I like his personality & enthusiasm.

I'm with nearwestside here. They are dicks. I've never heard they are great people. There are stories that harbaugh is a prick and what success did he have as a player? Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh, yeah, fuck them. But I don't get the Peyton-hate either. Save for Eli, it's almost un-American not to like Peyton Manning. Didn't Tom Brady himself say he'd vote for Manning for MVP of the 2013 season? Or maybe Brady was making a subtle point about Peyton being the best regular season QB of all time.

The only time Harbaugh's gotten any sympathy is when the biggest douche among NFL coaches, Jim Schwartz, served him in a post-game douche-off a few seasons back. Harbaugh should've hired Schwartz instead of Buffalo just to have Schwartz nearby to make Harbaugh look less douchey.

I was hoping the Bears would hire Schwartz as their Defensive Coordinator. As for Harbaugh & Carroll, they are 2 of the 3 best head coaches in the NFL, with my guy Mike Tomlin 4th, & Sean Payton 5th.

Way too many post game commentators talking about how far Seattle is ahead of everyone.

I wouldn't be even slightly shocked to see SF take the division next year and the Cardinals are one good QB draft away from being on their tails. Carolina has some work to do but I wouldn't put them that too far behind Seattle level either.

Seattle won the SB without having their best 2 WR for pretty much the entire season. The training wheels haven't been take off of Russell yet. The fact that they were so good even though they play in a great division and despite their injuries really shows how great of a team they have.
