Nice way to start off with IU and Illinois going to OT.

Turnovers killing IU today. Lucky to still be in the game.

Wow is Northwestern bad. Losing 40-14 at half.

That court for Northwestern has to be one of the ugliest in the country.

Nice win for Iowa at Ohio State.

Don't know how much it will lead to Tournament success, but Iowa building something nice.

I like them too

The one thing they are missing is a low post scorer. Aaron White is more of a slasher power forward who wants to get to the rim, but he's not getting down on the low block.

They have probably the best depth in the Big Ten, going 10 deep.

I would be worried they are kinda like Indiana from last year. Not quite physical enough come tourney time.

Was the Ohio State-Nebraska game played on Monday due to Martin Luther King Day, usually Big 10 doesn't play on MOnday.

This was something the Big Ten tried to do. It also was a matter of ratings and they pushed back the game which was originally scheduled for Sunday but with the NFL conf championship game, it was an easier decision by BTN.

I knew Wisconsin had struggled recently, but I had no idea they were 4-5 in the conference.

Wow.

For the first time in his time here, I have major concerns about our coach. I understand the rebuild isn't finished until next year but this team isn't progressing. They are behind schedule now.

As long as he can keep on finding players like Zeller and Yogi he'll be around a while.

I expected them to be a bubble team at least this year. They are better than last year but the improvement has not been that big. They barely even have anyone left from the junior and senior classes and I know I need to be patient but Painter also is the reason for that.

There was a time that I thought Painter was virtually unfireable. Now, I doubt he is still around if they don't make the tournament next year with a decent seed. Hopefully the AD goes with him.

Now you know how Theo Epstein felt.

Also, and I hate to say this, but the concept of "winning with defense" seems to be a dead end now in college basketball. It's even worse when you are also bad at defense. Painter has his system and wants things done his way. He even refuses to even play a zone because that isn't how his teams do it. Though, he did kind of play something like a zone in a game this year. He's going to have to adjust otherwise he'll be back at SIU.

Amazing to see only 3 teams above 500 at the half way point.

Wishing he went to Mizzou now?

A sight never seen at this point in the season. ESPN has their incoming class as #21 in the nation. That's never been done before.

Nah. The message he sent to them was important. We'll see if it pays off next year when he finally starts to see the benefits of not having to fill out a request form and get clearance to fly down to see a recruit.

Illini @ PSU...hope this gets as chippy as the last one. Lineup changes for Coach Groce...how has no business coaching in the Big Ten.
