Carter being the #2 guy most of his career doesn't affect Marvin Harrison

This isn't Baldwin vs Carter in receiving. Its Baldwin vs Carter in being a jerk.

It more had to do with you saying "Didn't break 80 catches or 1000 yds til his 7th year". Harrison never broke either without Manning and yet you thought he was really good before Peyton.

He was a passenger to his defense dominating in the playoffs. Baldwin has his ring and nobody can ever take that away from him.

When its all said and done, the list of accomplishments for Baldwin likely won't even come close to Carter's resume.

He led the team in receptions for 10 consecutive years. At worst he was a #1 for 5 years and 1A for another 5.

I dont recall that year, so I'd have to rethink it but certainly you can understand why I assume he was not better than Randy Moss in his prime?

He was the #1 guy for years until Moss came in. Even then, he would go for 90/1200 per year. Being a #2 to Randy Moss is not the same as being a #2.

marino wouldn't say anything like that...but that moot point aside, baldwin just took the "appetizers" remark as a personal offense and since every wide receiver it seems nowadays has skin as thin as a tablecloth, it makes sense that he'd use the "ring rebuttal".

all it does is make for more post-superbowl fodder that feels like...the week after new year's still hearing christmas music.
