Yes. No, not empirically. However, there are obvious issues related to the sun position, traveling southeast, and traffic.

Same here. I had no problem navigating my trip downstairs to the office.

i reckon this has gotta be fertile "lawnchair in my parking spot" territory in the city proper today. that's some of the more repugnant shit i've seen in 'lo my hodgepodge of spins on the globe. i've taken pleasure in smearing a few of those over the years, gotta admit =D

The problem comes in for older neighborhoods like Rogers Park where there are several large multi unit buildings on each block and each side of the block that were built when no on site parking was necessary.

They should monetize the parking spots. Chicago debt would go bye-bye. Simple.

Had to go to Libertyville this morning and i left at 4:15.

The tollway looked untouched from Lake Cook to Rt 176.

i want to get on record to say that i fucking hate this overnight drift snow. i stayed up til 10-11pm keeping up with the snowfall and i wake up to get the paper and see up to 2ft of drifts against the headwalls that were already ~3-4ft tall (now clocking in at around 5-6ft) and of course the snow plows manage to get that heavy snow at the end of the driveway fucking 3 feet tall, so i just chiseled out a proper path for an automobile to make it through (even if you gotta sideswipe a little snow... don't be a pussy, remember you're the goliath that has the 2000+lbs wrecking machine) and now i can see that in teh time it took me to finish, grab my laptop, come outside nda have a cigarette that teh snow plow has come by again so there's another 1/2 foot of heavy sludge adorning the end of my driveway..... well fucking shit.

so yeah hats off to MG for doing their thing with the roads, which save new years day are always spot on in a proper amount of time..... but still if they could just slow their roll and not take the accumulation of 3/4 of the block and essentially dump it in front of my driveway that'd be nice.... i mean i could only handle 75% of the driveway/sidewalks before my right bicep started to tighten up and warrant (now i gotta play cherry pie and do the dio horns shit. ugh) this much-needed break.

If you have kids then you know that one door of the garage is full of their stuff...& a few of Dads toys. I haven't even opened door 3 in 10+ years.

They sorta of do. I pay $25 for a parking permit on top of my stupid ass Chicago sticker.

I'm at a client today. Took an hour to get here, when normally it's only a 15-minute drive. Was going to work tonight at the office, but I'd rather not waste more time on the road.

roads were fucking terrible. i think all the towns have blown through their snow plowing budgets and now just aren't plowing anymore.

I tend to agree with this. No more OT pay in the budget, so they will let it all collect at night.
