I get the impression that many don't. I certainly don't.

Also I don't watch a lot of Spurs, but they played shady last night. A lot of acting / trying to fool refs into making opposite calls. Many of them against Hinrich when Spurs were on offense. Refs seemed to be on top of it though. Seemed like they were aware of how the Spurs play.

Pop is just sending a message for the inevitable finals rematch.

The Spurs are probably not going to make the Finals again. If OKC is playing like they are now I don't think the Spurs have a shot. The Spurs are 16-1 against teams under .500 and 17-12 against teams over .500. Depending on what happens with the Spurs injured guys I could see them sliding all the way to 4 or 5 in the West.

You mean winning teams beat losing teams more often than they beat other winning teams?!?!?

Crazy statistics bro!

It shows that they are feasting on the bottom feeders and that they are closer to .500 against winning teams. If you look Indiana is 11-8 against .500 teams and 24-1 against teams under .500. That indicates to me that both of these teams are slightly overrated because there are a lot of bad teams out there.

I want you to do this research for every team over .500. Get back to me on the results.

Bulls win again. They are within striking distance of that 3 seed.

I think the Bulls organization just wants to be clear to the media that Rose has zero percent chance of playing this season. Last year there was too much speculation and Rose never officially ended the possibility of a return. He should have said he wasn't playing and ended all the discussion about it before the playoffs. This year the Bulls are saying he's not playing no matter what. And they've taken it a step further that he's not going to be allowed to practice with the team because they don't want any speculation.

this wasnt a year long injury like last time though. most doctors were saying 3 months he could be playing again, but they made the decision to sit him out the full year before they even knew how bad or good it was. now hes ahead of schedule, and they still say he has no chance of playing. its bullshit, if this was any other player he would be gearing up for a april 1st return.

I think we've already seen Taj's potential. If his ceiling were any higher I think we would have noticed by now. That was the larger problem with the Bulls - bunch of solid guys who are not going to get any better than they already are, except Rose (pre 2012) and Butler. It was a problem because those players' best was not enough to compete with the elite teams, and they weren't going to get better collectively since most core players had maxed out their talent. Deng was the prototype there, and he was Roses right hand man. Not good enough.

I think we are seeing it now. He's better than Boozer in pretty much every way.

Yeah his injury is not a season ender for most NBA players it happens to in November. But then again an ACL tear is not a 15 month process for most NBA players either.

The fact that this is his second knee injury is causing them to take more caution. Rose said that he wasn't playing because he was the only one "who knew his body," but then he tears up the other knee.

I don't doubt that he's playing well, but again if he was some hidden jewel then he would have been discovered by now. Remember this is not some 21 year old who has been unjustly held back from more playing time. This is a veteran in his late twenties who has been playing behind Carlos Boozer (emphasis not needed) for basically three years now. He may or may not be better than Boozer, but either way he's no stud and will not become one at age 28 or 29.

That's fine, but I'm pushing back against the thought that he hasn't reached his ceiling yet. He's not getting better than what you already see. He's solid, and I have no complaints

I do have a complaint. Why isn't he the starter? I think 16 and 10 and great defense is what we would get. He's proving he can score if given the opportunity. At his salary I would not trade him.

I think he's a great piece to have if you're already good. Currently it's just meh. Not knocking that we have him, but it's not like more Taj is going to change anything.

I think you're looking at this the wrong way my friend. More Taj INSTEAD of Boozer is a great thing. I believe it makes the Bulls a better team. Will they win the championship this year if he is the starter? No. Going forward with a healthy Rose and another piece or 2 I believe the Bulls can be a championship team with him at PF.

Sure, with Rose and better pieces right? So then we are in agreement I think. The problem is I'm so pessimistic about the Bulls' chances to land the pieces you're talking about. Sometimes I don't even think it's management's fault. Perhaps the allure of Chicago simply doesn't exist, and the city is just overrated from a free agent attraction perspective.

It'll take a miracle for the Bulls to ever get anybody good. Rose sucks up too much salary.

I don't know about a miracle. But they will need to make some shrewd moves to pick up some players.

What we don't know is what picks the Bulls will get in the draft, what the Bulls will do with Boozer and if Mirotic comes over. The roster will likely be very different than it is now.

That is the key really. The Bulls being in draft hell need to just get lucky with some picks that everyone else missed.

Yes, but he was also just about the last pick in the first round. Typically teams don't find much after pick 15.

I thought that Teague could play in this league I was wrong. At least James Johnson is resurrecting his career.
