My Spurs are thinking about dealing my guy Kawhi. Would be a terrible decision.

Bulls gotta get rid of Dunleavy I would think. He's played well enough for a team like OKC or Portland to take a look.

Someone please free Gasol from LA.

I could see the bulls getting rid of dunleavy for a pick, OKC could use him if they want to make a deep run in the playoffs because durant can't carry them on his back to the finals,

The bobcats are looking at Evan turner, that would help them make a push to try and get in the playoffs because they also need a scorer,

If gasol went to then suns, which they are talking about, that would be a good fit for him because he is doing nothing in l.a right now that benefits him

I really hope the Bulls aren't seriously considering keeping Boozer UNLESS they can sign a star player.

I think they are keeping him.

KC Johnson was talking about bringing over Mirotic and he said it would probably take their remaining cap money to get a deal done with him.

Agreed. Either KC doesn't know or he doesn't realize what his job is.

Gibson's performance as a starter has made it clear that Boozer needs to go. I find it hard to believe GarPax wouldn't agree.

I think they want to get rid of him, but if they free of $15M, they are going to need to spend it. And I'm sure they want to spend it on a top flight FA, and not on a bunch of middle of the road turds.

The FA's just aren't there this offseason. I'm sure they definitely do not want Melo.

Not getting rid of him will continue to hold Taj back and it's basically giving up on competing for a title next year UNLESS they can trade his expiring contract to bring over a star.

They could always bring Boozer off the bench.

Why? That's a very expensive player. If you can trade him for a star he is better off being released. Give Thibs a few above average players and the Bulls can compete for a title. They can do a lot with $15M in free agency. Especially with the new CBA.

They can't do anything of impact in FA this offseason to win a championship and can't do anything in the trade market with Boozer to win a championship.

One more season and there could be some better FA's available. I think they would rather hold on to that possibility than buy some crap heap stuff this offseason.

This is the year to do something. This is the year where the best free agents will be available. They can create the cap space to compete for a championship. Amnesty Boozer or trade his expiring contract.

They aren't getting anything back for Boozer in a trade. Even as an expiring contract next year. With the new CBA there are a lot more expiring contracts every year and they don't hold the value they used to. I agree he's holding taj back and that's the best reason to amnesty him.

There's not even if he has 2 good ones which he won't . We've seen the best of Derrick already.

Whoever trades for Boozer should be fired immediately. KC Johnson finally reported that the Bulls players, led by Ben Wallace, recommended that the team suspend Noah about 4-5 years ago. He had the story first but was uncomfortable publicizing it until now.

Why is SA looking to deal Leonard?

Can't figure out why , but I've seen a few different outlets talking about Hawes/Turner from Philly for Kawhi. Doesn't make sense at all for them. He's clearly their third best player and they need star power more than depth right now.

I wonder if they'll be any trades of consequence.

As for the Bulls, I can't see them getting equal value for Dunleavy given that sweet contract. I say keep him. Boozer better be good as gone via amnesty.

I agree they can get alot out of that money next year with solid roll players, certainly more than what they get out of Boozer.

Who knows on D Rose. Is he the next Penny Hardaway or will he bounce back and be 80% of his MVP caliber and remain healthy? Impossible to say.

Let's hope they get DJ Augustine signed. That guy has been extremely solid which is why they need to amnesty Boozer and use that money to find more like him.

Leonard will be star. I can't see the Spurs doing something so stupid.

i dont see the bulls trading dunleavy. no one is going to give you a 1st for him. His contract next year is 3 mil or something small like that, he's not going anywhere.

I would be very surprised if boozer is not amnestied this off-season. Taj gibson is the same player he's always been. 3 of the last 4 games he's played more than 45 minutes.... so his production is inflated due to being on the court for what amounts to a non-sustainable amount of time. taj is making close to 8-10 mil per after his recent deal (at least that is what I recall).

if you cement gibson as a starter next year going forward

1 - rose
4 - gibson
5 - noah

what do you fill the rest in with? what is the path to a championship without a legit scoring 2 or 3 being added and who is that player?

You add Butler and possible Snell to the mix with Mirotic and $16M in cap space and that should be more than enough to compete with a coach like Thibs.

Agreed.

Butler needs to take a big step next year.

Realistically, they will contend next year but Mirotic is going to need a season or two before he can really be good and I don't see Butler taking that huge step in 1 year, although in 2-3 years he may be a consistent 15 PPG guy with good D.

Luckily Noah and Gibson will still be formidable in a couple years and hopefully Rose is 80% of what he was then with those 3 plus Butler & Mirotic, they will contend. Let's hope they get Butler signed to a team friendly deal (assuming he does progress) so they can compete with this CBA.

is competing what you want? I;d rather an actual chance at a title. Butler would be fine at the 2 if you had a 3 who could score/create his own shot.

You have to be able to compete in order to win a championship. Right now the Bulls can't compete against the better teams in the league.

Trade Noah and Butler or Gibson for a legit borderline star who can create his own shot. It's time for Pax to stop with this keeping the core together crap and do something radical.

He drafted Tyrus Thomas. I don't want him doing anything radical again. The Bulls will be fine if they were healthy. He can't guarantee health.
