First round of BOMJH!

The intial BOMJH is a waste. Just give Finji a show and have him play 2 minutes of highlights, if any occur.
I find the silly concept of a BOMJH show arrogant and stupid. How in God's name can anyone believe there is more than 3 minutes of highlights from the show. I can always miss Harry's bad jokes, Mac ripping on the Cubs and Jurko occasionally talking.
Get over yourselves boys and try to realize why the ratings declined.
If there was that much "best of" the ratings wouldn't have dropped so much.

I only heard the first 20 minutes so I don't know if the next 40 was any good.

If TPTB want to give Finji an hour, give him an hour. Don't use this best of stuff.

Some days you guys have really good shows, but the 4 hours on Carlos Zamnobraino was not good. I did not need a replay of it. I'd rather have listened to Harry's movie lines or stand up tape.

If this was the shit that was covered in the meeting last week take it back to TIIC. Tell the radio braintrust they have to go back to the drawing board. No topics should be beaten into the ground. You guys are better than this.

I agree with you about this stupid idea of a best of totally. Just plain arrogant and DUMB.

I say give Finji a cohost and let them do an hour.

Make it like the Stern wrap-up show. They don't replay the tapes. They talk about what happened in the show or recap the best of the whole day (M&M, S&W, The Flunky Midday show, MJH). Maybe play a clip or two and talk about it for the rest of the segment.

Why have a show to discuss the previous show, especially if it is nothing special or a waste of time like 3/4 of today's 4 hour marathon talking about Z?

I wouldn't be too keen on a show about a show. Hopefully this is just Mac's way of skirting the powers that be (or TPTB as Spaulding put it) and getting Finji somewhat of an on-air gig. So, after a time (short hopefully) they scrap the "Best of" and just give Finji his spot.

I meant more in format than content. If they don't want to give Finji his own show, then give him a cohost and format their discussion from "starting points" using the clips from previous shows.

I'm all for just letting Finji go an hour without a net but T dreaded PTB don't seem ready for that. I was just shooting for a midpoint.

This is exactly what I think happened and expect this to be the 1 hour Finji audition show very soon but still under the guise for the time being of the Best Of thing. Finji's good and can get his legs underneath him with this current format. Once he's better and comfortable he'll get the official time slot whatever it may be at the time.

No second opinion needed. I have to agree. Let Finji recap MJH in the first half hour. Then, in the second half hour they should let him recap his segments from 6:00 - 6:30. I'm on the train then, so it would be great to hear a recap of his recap in the final few segments from 6:30 - 7:00.

The whole "best of" idea has to go. It should be sold as more of a recap hour...but Finfer needs to have more airtime. Give it some clever name (closing hour, metal shop something, who cares...) and let Ben have 5 minutes a segment of his own to sink or swim with. I don't think that's asking too much considering management doesn't think anyone's listening anyway. Eventually it can evolve into something more for Ben exclusively but it has to start somewhere and as much as I enjoy the the show, it can't just be replaying clips from the current day's MJH show. We deserve better than that. Get it done Mac I know you have the power to get this done.

I used to like the SCORE best of show. However, that was at 5 in the morning and replayed bits from everyone's show. It's difficult to consider 20 percent of your regular show to be worthy of the title "best of".

I listened to Finji's intro at the start at the show, but they lost me with the 2:05 conversation tape and the threat of more tape on Z from Plesac.

Call the show MJH Last Call with Finji, and let the guy talk.

I think we need TGT (to give it time). It will evolve in the next couple of weeks. Mac stated in another post, TLTLU. that nothing was etched in stone yet.
