The Weber Grill.

Mrs. Scorehead has wanted to go here forever so I made a reservation on Valentines day. It never ceases to amaze me how places like this are full every night. In short, it is overpriced mediocre food with lousy service from servers who should be working at Chilis or Fridays.

Keep it.

Ate there once. Really dont remember anything besides the grills. Guessing it was a solid 5, as I dont remember it being good or bad. Just a row of grills fired up.

Got a gift card from the old Afternoon Saloon back when I used to contribute so I headed over one time.

I wouldn't waste my own money going there. Especially when there's likely a Cooper's Hawk around.

"Don't eat at restaurants named for readily available Sears merchandise" is probably a pretty solid guiding principle.

Nice way to impress the wife on Valentines Day. Take her out to a chain restaurant.

Never judge a place on Saint Valentine's Day. In fact, don't go out for Saint Valentine's Day.

I will say that in my experience, Weber Grill is bad even for a chain. When I lived in the area, we went there twice for lunch and it was poor... even cold if I remember right. I'm not picky, either.

They are overpriced but typical for the area. They have a large gluten free menu including udi's buns.. It's not great but not terrible. We've never had trouble with service.

Weber grills are pretty awesome.

It just seems like a restaurant that basically says "We cook on the same grill you have at home" would suck. Like, I'm not going to a place that is called "5 burner stove and one oven" either.

I'm normally a snob, but I actually have found their BBQ offerings to be good. The brisket is tasty. I wouldn't go for a steak etc, but I have liked my last few meals there.

I have to admit. I don't understand the Goggles mult.

It's a mult of the guy RPB works with that cooks food in strange ways in the work break-room.

That's it. That's the story.

Chicago has more than enough great steak restaurants all in the same area that you should never settle for the good.

Read my post again.

My wife has been wanting to go to the new Hardee's that opened by us for awhile, doesn't mean I'm going to take her there on V-Day.

The only thing I would add is he is in there no less than 2 hours per day. No exaggeration

Hardees is not super classy, but they have big burgers.

You should never ever go to a Hardees.

Lombard off of Butterfield. We'll never go back.

Avoid Redstone too.

Had high hopes, deeply disappointing. Gibson prices on steaks with a Ponderosa quality to them.

I liked Ponderosa....when I was 9.

IIRC, the Weber Grill appetizers were decent but the meals were bland. (Especially the one on Butterfield)

Salad Bar at Sizzler wasn't bad.

The whip marks on the steak were distracting to look at while you cut the meat though.
