well the price got BIGGER and the portions got LITTLER.

However, still looked like aquality burger and anything they deep fry there, at least they actually dip the product in the batter they make and fry it. Doesnt come out of a bag from Sysco or kraft food services.

Had the Softshell crab Po Boy. Saw them passing the bread in the prep area and was impressed that I was getting that samwich and I got only half of that, not so filling. also got the Japanese taco and the Al Pastor taco. 2 Bites and done, but have to admit, both items, very tasty, no complaints as to quality of the food they make there. once again. that they make there!

they just opened a few days ago and have been slammed, so it was a solid 20 min wait, but you do see everyone busting there ass, so I dont have a problem with a place getting it together and doing the best they can when they open. I am sure they will get it down soon.

Kinda cool, they tried a SOFT open on valentines day. Which is just opening the doors without saying they are open and they did 800 orders Sat and sun. They fgiured a few people might open the door and ask if they are open. Social media buzz hit and BAM....

Will they be filming a sequel to the fake "Undercover Restaurant" thing that the did at the original place? That was the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

The prices are cheaper than the downtown location. I have no idea what you're talking about. So far been twice and ordered 3 different tacos each time. Only one of the 6 I didn't enjoy. Each taco ran for 2.65. Downtown they're 4 bucks.

Po boys downtown start at 11. Belmont they're 7 bucks. Again, no idea what you mean by bigger prices.

take some pics next time you do a food review pwetty pwease, its hard to make fun of something you cant see. and it seems like any new food joint that opens in chicago does great the first few months. i wonder if a guy could just "kitchen nightmare" his place every 6 months... new name, new decor and different food. People would always come back to try the "new" place. 20min lines would last for decades.

but for $11 you got the large loaf of bread, Belmont you get the half loaf for $7. $11 gets you 2 Softshell crabs, $7 gets you 1.

...and I never had the taco on Orleans, so will not comment on the relative size, but I did eat it in 2 bites. Its a small taco!

Kirkwood eats out more than I do! At least in the winter, once we get enough melt to re-access the grill, more homecooking will be on the menu!

Had the beer-battered burger and truffle fries at the Orleans one a couple weeks ago.

Burger was high-quality but tiny. Truffle fries were impossible to stop eating.

As I had some responsibilities at a building at 820 N . Orleans right when these guys opened, I started going there within the first 2 weeks of them opening. I didnt really talk about it, as i just thought it was a really good place to get some fast food. Then came the DDD show...and the lines came and I didnt go as much.

Now the Lakeview location. ugh. Drove by yesterday was going to stop in and see 2 ladies in the window that looked like they just got off oak street from shopping.

I am 100% sure these 2 women would never have stopped in without seeing it on TV or reading about "the buzz" on it.

God bless the boys Omar and Delass, I hope they make a mint of money, increase the prices another $5 on everything.

It was pretty funny I thought. The fact that people think that the show is legit is the funniest part.

So my 1/2 size Po Boy for $7.95 at Lakeview is a better deal than my fullsize Po Boy for $13.00 on Orleans? Interesting system you have there seacrest

I messed that up. I meant that you were right, and Kirkwood had been checkmated.
