The reason Mike got $1.5 Million was that some ignorant executive thought Mike would become a National figure.

You know, like one of those guys you see filling in on PTI, or that best damn sports show or some other national stage other than filling in for Don Imus for a day.

The problem became when someone realized Mike acting like an immature A hole, not being to actually use words with correct meanings and his 1962 views on many issues are not contrived. He really is a racist NW 55 year old high school drop out and nothing more.

If he maintains a niche of listeners in Chicago, that's fine, but now they kow this guy is not going to be a National figure, like he thinks he should be. Thus puttign anything close to $1.5 M on the table again is a crazy thought.

Dan Mason, new head of CBS Radio is a fan of Mike North. While Hollander was in charge, many at WSCR thought it was only a matter of time before North was out. Now with Mason in charge, it opens up a whole new can of worms for North.

Not sure so many want North out, just don't want this burdening all empowering contract floating around.
