We have pancake breakfast fundraisers at my kids' school- nothing quite as good as sausages cooked in the french fryer. Makes both the sausages and then the fries taste better!!

I think it was yesterday I heard that bacon is now a $4 billion dollar industry in the U.S. now.

I cooked an entire pig's head last summer and then deep fried it at the end to crisp up the skin. Pretty interesting to see a snout sticking up out of the pot.

Anyway, ended up with some sisig - a chopped pork delicacy consisting of the cheek meat and other portions of the head and neck. Tasty.

I had the Hardee's Monster Biscuit this morning. Bacon, sausage, ham, eggs, and cheese on a biscuit. The biscuit wasn't all dried out. It was pretty good.

There is a Hardee's in West Chicago. The old Arby's in Warrenville is becoming a Hardee's. I don't know if that one is open yet. I didn't see the flags flying over the parking lot, so I assume not.

well the next time you drive by it you better stop. because it is awesome. however...sometimes the staff is snarky as fuck and it's almost always packed.

and if you want excellent pizza and/or italian, go to mario's. it's down the street.

Check the website and it's not open yet. But the one at 59 and North is open. That's even closer.

They're opening an Augustino's right by my house soon.

Go get some. Start with the Italian sub.
