Since no one started the thread for the SS game at Soldier Field, here it is.

I predict the game will be ugly.

Slight shoutout to CH with the title; otherwise, I have no time or energy to get all poetic and numbery.

I spent the day at the Art Institute, hence I was unable to make a thread. While I'd ordinarily recommend that one not dress like a savage to go to the estimable Art Institute of Chicago, it did make me happy to see lots of people in Blackhawks and Penguins regalia, containing multitudes as both hockey fans and fine art fans. My companion and I went past the same fat guy in a Brooks Orpik fauxback sweater like five times, which was a little weird.

Admittedly, I haven't been around as much as previous seasons due to my work schedule, so I'm not one to talk, and maybe it's because of Saturday night and all, but WHERE ARE THE GAYS??? The weather sucks and this is the biggest non-playoff event of the season, dammit!!!!!

Still liked the Winter Classic sweaters better, but at least the Hawks made an effort.

Yo I am here. Had to drag my ass away from WWE Network but this is going to be epic. How many times they going to halt play to shovel the snow off?
They actually had to heat the ice to keep it from cracking

So get drunk and eat mushrooms.
I could think of a worse way to spend a Saturday night.

Art Institute is the bomb ,gets overlooked a lot because the other museums we have here are just that good.
What is your take on Modern art Museum? I used to go every year on the summer solstice. They would be open all night.

This is all cute and everything, but I'm done with the outdoor games.

Agreed. Also, that was a miserable power play. Nice to see the Hawks back to form.

I think we're going to go back to one (or two, for when Winnipeg gets their thank-you note) a year from here on out. The novelty is wearing off.

An idea might be to have the Winter Classic be the All-Star Game in one year, just to shake things up and keep all the regular-season games indoors.

Can they call the game, reschedule, and just play for fun? And to think, I was worried March 1st would be too warm!
