Mrs. Scorehead, Scorehead JR & his Girlfriend & I went to Swordfish on Randall Road for Sushi. I've probably been here 50 times in the last 5 years. Outstanding Sushi. The best in the western suburbs. They also operate Wildfish in Arlington Heights & Deerfield.

Sakuma's on 59 just south of 90 is the best in the Chicago area.

Iguchi used to have it catered into the Sox clubhouse when it was his selection for the team meals.

I'm up in that area frequently. I'll check it out this week.

Katsu on Peterson Avenue is the best by so far it isn't even funny. There is no other sushi place in the Chicago area that comes close. Really pricey though.

It's not BYOB. Big sake menu though.

I will vouch for Wildfish in Arlington Heights. It is very good. No need for BYOB -- they have 22 oz Sapporos. There are frequently Groupons. Just don't go near the dates they expire -- they can get overwhelmed.

The Ju Rin in Geneva is ok but we prefer the one in South Elgin...its cleaner, larger & they have a Sushi boat river. Yes, I have been to Tribella a few times. It was pretty good but for some reason we never go there.

Katsu is fucking terrific. but I dropped more than there than any meal in Tokyo. sit at the bar, rest of it is like Arby's. dude is old. enjoy before he dies.

Iguchi also used to frequent Jocky Wok n Roll in Schaumburg. Im pretty sure he wasn't a connoisseur of Asian cuisine.

Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.

TL's is right by the Bartlett train station. http://tlsfourseasons.com/

It's both Chinese and Japanese with a good collection of fresh sushi
