Either acquire two (2) top free agents and exceed the cap or trade Noah!

Love Noah as a 3rd best player on your Championship team. If he is your #1, you have a 4th place team.

There are a lot of bad basketball thoughts in this thread. I always knew Noah would be great.

I miss Buckets.

Now for the post to enlighten/enrage the youth...

Noah on a team with Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc.....and NOAH...

What kind of stats do you think he puts up? And he has to guard guys like Ewing, Shaq, Hakeem, Robinson, Mutumbo, Mourning, Georgie Muresan, Sabonis and Bradley....and before you give me Noahs stats, remember Rodman averaged almost 20 rebounds a game, its almost all he did.

No, don't trade Noah. Tyson Chandler was the 2nd best player on a championship team and Noah is better than Chandler.

Trade Rose.

Just remember Billy Donovan was telling NBA scouts that Tito was going to be the much better NBA player, but I am sure our local NBA experts knew that as well.

I think he puts up a double double still with 2-3 assists, and great defense every single night.

Muresan and Bradley???

Yes. But maybe you can enlighten me with more intriguing nuggets like "Rodman was a great rebounder" and "the centers in the 90's were better than the current crop of centers". Was John Stockton good at passing? Was Reggie Miller a good three point shooter in your opinion? Inquiring minds want to know biggie...

We need someone to locate Spinnin Buckets. Without him around I probably would have left. No one knew basketball better than him.

Carmen DeFalco once told his listening audience that only he and J Hood were qualified to give thoughts on basketball.

Rodman was a great rebounder, but not much else when with the Bulls. He was a great antagonizer. His offensive plan was to stay out of the way, but his defense was way overrated with the Bulls.

Stockton- huge cheater, he was just so small never got called.

Reggie- Huge poser, great shooter..

Now lets return to how you see Noah only getting 2-3 assists per game on a team with Jordan, Pippen and Kukoc?

He wouldn't handle the ball as much. Jordan created most of his own scoring, so that wouldn't help Noah with assists as much.

Luc Longley was actually a pretty decent passer.

And an excellent 12'-14' range shooter.

Excellent is a bit strong, but I agree, and have never argued otherwise. But it is laughable to suggest he's better than Noah.

That whole "Triangle Offense" must have been my imagination and who was passing the ball to the weak side to Kukoc and Pippen?

That's not saying a lot. Noah is significantly better at every other facet of the game though.

Really?

Longley was a career 46% shooter and was never at 50% or above for a season.

Noah is a career 50% shooter and was over 50% for four seasons.

I will help you out as well. About 80+% of Noahs shots are within 5 feet of the basket.

If you want to go to the stats bag and tell me Noah has a better shot than Longley you just dont know what you are talking about and you didnt see Longley play.

Noah is a better rebounder, a better all around defensive player and they are comparabley good passing big men. The fact Noah can run the court like he does and hustles his ass off easily makes him the preferred player.

Still amazed this stat was used to show me Noah is a good shooter? he doesnt even lift the ball above his chest when he shoots from more than 5 feet out. The only reason he even attempts that shot is because he is left 100% wide open and they want him to shoot it. If he got better at it, it would help the team as big men couldnt drop down on him, but they would also guard him,

I am not saying he has a better shot than Longley, but you said exceptionally better and I just do not think that is true. Longley had a bunch of shots close to the basket as well and yet he was never able to get to 50% for a season. And I watched a ton of Bulls games while Longley was playing.

If they don't do anything major the rest of the offseason, I'll be disappointed with this but I prefer to wait until the dinner is served to rate the chef.

This is why Stacey King sucked. he shot from his chest and shoulders, which in college worked ok. When he got to the pros, everything was swatted.

It is a very common issue among big men. You can get a shot off when you are always bigger than the other kids, until you get to the point at which they are the same size.

Its one of the major things they teach at Pete Newells big man camp. Things that a smaller player already know, like step back, opening up the basket, etc.

Its the place I wished Tyson chandler went for a year.

Noahs shot is TERRIBLE, guarded from 15 feet away, he doesnt even get the shot off? Yes, Longleys 15 foot shot was exceptionally better.

I will add, the fact Noahs shot is bad and they dont really need to respect the shot (I.e. shot fake) it makes it more impressive that he drives to the basket and scores.
