that's what i got...looks far less complicated than what you have in the pic there...
Basically all you do is keep the freezer bowl in the freezer, then when you have your milk/cream/flavorings mixed, dump the shit it and turn it on
then in the last ~15-20 minutes you add your cookies, candy, caramel, etc. if you wish
the only thing i don't like about it, and it's a minor complaint, is that when the churning time is finished it's really only barely the consistency of soft serve...you have to let it freeze for at least 3-4 hours to get a "normal" consistency


I think the Breville machine in the picture is different from your Cuisinart ice cream maker. The Breville model costs about $400 and serves as its own freezer, attaining commercial level performance through its rapid, deep-freeze capacity. It can produce "hard" ice cream in about 30 minutes, I think. A quick deep-freeze is important when you're making fruit-based ice cream because that's what you need to avoid ice crystals.

WHat we do now is let the guy that sometimes orders alcohol go first. He sets the tone for the whole table.

yeam i'm guessing since mine was ~50$ and that one is 400$, there may be slight differences :lol:

i'm not trying to challenge Ben & Jerry here, just make a pint of ice cream every now and then

Not comaparable you dont put breadsticks on a steak nor do they add to the appeal of the steak. You can replace 15% of my steak with a truffle oil and crabmeat mixture though...

If you to Chick-Fil-A or Steak and Shake they use real whipped cream on their shakes. Some places don't put whipped cream on shakes at all, like what McDonald's used to do. The Shamrock shake at McDonald's is different now and probably slightly more expensive compared to how much you were getting in the big drink cup. I think a large is maybe $3.50 now. Depending on who owns the McDonald's the prices can vary. A large is not much more expensive than a medium, so it ends up being cheaper to get the bigger one.

I was thinking maybe I should hit up Oberweis for a mint shake over there since they make better shakes than any of the other places. Culver's does a mint oreo concrete mixer, which is also worth checking out.
