It seems like every time I tune into this station I hear Finfer's voice. He's allegedly the third wheel on these two shows but he never shuts the fuck up. I was initially on board with this station as an alternative to WSCR and ESPN but my time spent listening has already decreased dramatically since they decided to make this guy part of two shows.

I'm stunned that he's though of so highly that they seem to be making him the FoTS.

Perhaps Finfer really is the smartest man in the room. Now he's the star of 2 shows.

It got weird when Kaplan said he sleeps with his three large dogs and wife. Finfer was like how do they all fit in your bed. Kaplan said he has a California king size one, and Finfer was perplexed. Great radio.

normally i'd say that finfer might hear the star wars imperial theme playing when mcdoink sets foot into the place on his first day, but then again connor is str8up rebel alliance so i don't know what he'd hear. probably whatever was playing at the hot topic he bought that shirt at.

I'm liking The Game as a solid alternative. I don't mind Kaplan as much as others and maybe its just me, but it seems like they are more Cubs oriented. As for Finfer...he does seem just a little "hyper" on air, but I like hearing him. New blood on all fronts maybe?

Then it looks like you're in for a real treat. They might as well send everyone else home and just let him talk to himself all day long, because that's essentially what's happening.

Too much finfer?
What's that mean?
It's like too much money,
there's no such thing
It's like a girl too pretty,
with too much class
Being too lucky,
a car too fast

No matter what they say I've done
I ain't never had too much finfer

LYRICS!!

Don't forget,at 87.7 it looks like they are all competing against each other.
Nobody (except Kaplan) has a 1 year contract. Just pay as you go.

First of all...funny line about playing the music. Second of all...credentials for talking sports? Since when does anyone need credentials for that. Now what you should have asked is "what the fuck are his credentials for talking on the radio?"

I flipped you guy on while Mac stroked his boner from true detective for 45 fucking minutes the other day. I was in Hebron. Y'all came in decent. FM does wonders for you. Who the hell was that with you? Putz.

Great, you have radio credentials. You slaved for Mac for your entire adult life. That's something a person can proudly tell themselves when they look in the mirror, isn't it? Your problem, dipshit, is that you are UN-interesting. You have ZERO personality. Your thoughts are inane and more befitting a rambling psychotic than a functioning member of a human society. Look guy, not everyone is meant to be a talk show host. You and your demented colleagues (fellow produces and engineers) seem to believe there is this magical linear tree that you all can climb to be the next Dan MacNeil. Mayhap you have a career in the radio business in sales or as a future PD (though such a thought should initiate a spell of dry heaving in any but the most severely mentally challenged). I wish you luck but I will tell you this slowly: YOU. FUCKING. SUCK. AT. BEING. A. HOST.

Z, wow, that was really harsh. I have listened a few times, and I think he sounds fine. He is passionate and knows enough to talk about local sports. Given all the unlistenable shows in this market, I am surprised at the anger you direct at Finfer.

Alrighty then. Did someone piss in your corn flakes this morning? You probably shouldn't listen to Ben if you feel this strongly about him.
He is better than 50% of the guys who are doing sports talk radio in this town.

No one else would have taken that as a joke about the video games. The Nintendo generation is now 35-45 years old

I just don't get why people accept this dude as being part of the future of sports radio in this city. Or as being talented or interesting.

Well if that is what your age wants to listen to they will be a huge success.

BTW, how many hours of sports talk listening have you put in so far this week RPB?
