Fritzy's downfall was the day he was bitching about not being able to buy a SUBWAY franchise but "others" had no problem. I was listening that day...classic!

Fritz is a good guy. He treats everyone as a friend unless and until a guy acts like an asshole. Sure, he can be loud and obnoxious, but who can't?

Here's a good story that tells you what kind of guy Fritzy really is. There's a regular at Lucky Magee's, an Albanian or Greek guy named Dino who has a job working with fish. He's a really nice guy, but sometimes he shows up at the OTB straight from work and he smells like he just crawled out of a minnow bucket. So one day, we're all at the bar and Fritzy starts sniffing and asking, "What's the smell? It smells like fucking fish in here!" And Dino turns to him and says, "It is me. I come from work as fishmonger." Instead of being pissed at the smell of cod wafting over his vodka, Fritz tries to hook the guy up with restaurant owners who buy fish.

He can be a little much. He has no low opinion of himself so you always have to treat him with deference even though you know he is spouting bullshit. He is kind of like how Jimmy Conway is portrayed on Goodfellas.
