For myself and Kamps and a few others who have admitted love for Sbarros. Filed Chapter 11 and have closed.

Don't they do this every few years? So the owners can pay off their coke dealers and start fresh. Or is it for real this time.

I'm as gutter palate as they come, and I always found Sbarro's to be disgusting. Only good thing to come from it was this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaKuT3dIwfc

Due to how disgusting their food is, they're profitable except for the lease terms in their mall locations. Probably just going into BR to renegotiate the lease terms with their food-court landlords:

Quiznos now in BR. Haven't eaten at a Quiznos (or a Sbarro) since like 2002.

Always thought it was weird that Woodfield didn't have a food court. Hawthorn did. I remember one time when I was like five or six, I tried to order at the Hawthorn McDonald's all by myself, but I was thrown for a loop when they had no shakes and most of their drinks were out. The foreign man at the counter said they only had "die co, I see" and while I figured out that one was Diet Coke, I didn't know whether the second one was iced tea or Hi-C, and no one else seemed to know, so I just got the Diet Coke.

Quiznos also filed bankruptcy. I don't think I have ever been in a Sbarros.

Woodfield was built before food courts were invented. They did have an itty-bitty food court. Like 3-4 restaurants including ROY ROGERS on a little mezzanine above where they used to have fish tanks. Haven't been there in 30 years though.

How can the mayor of Hanover Park abstain from going to Woodfield for thirty years?

Quiznos is so overpriced not funny.
Jimmie Johns is overrated. Would rather have either Hungry Hobo or plain ole Subway.

You'd rather have Subway than Jimmie Johns? That's disgusting.

I was so blinded by the Hungry Hobo mention that I missed that...

...that might be the most controversial thing you've ever posted here Chas.

I am sorry I just do not like them. There are a lot better subs that I have had than JJ. Potbelly immediately comes to mind. Jersy Mikes.
I am not even going to drop the Hydrogen bomb that is Bari

Hungry Hobo is the shit chas! The one in Galesburg near where I grew up has new ownership and a new name.

Baked potato with all the fixins and a hot roast beef. Nothing better.

No one's going to argue with you that there are a lot better subs than JJ. That's not the point. The point being that you said you would rather have the most disgusting food on earth instead of JJ. JJ ain't great, but its about 100x better than Subway.

Auntie Anne's is great. I think there's one in the Water Tower, used to get a pretzel there quite often. There was one in that godforsaken Block 37 for a few months, but the Water Tower one was much better.

BTW, is Block 37 an ancient Indian burial ground? Everything that grows there is cursed. Now I see they want to build condos there.
