It's like they are purposely trying to fail. Who would ever want to listen to JA for serious football thoughts?

Well, there was that one guy on this board who actually thought that Jerry was a great GM.

He probably will outperform our current GM.

Havn't listened to the game in a couple weeks. Last week they had college hoops and this week nothing but NCAA talk. I'm trying to make the switch, but they are making it difficult.

Who are the other experts? Dusty Baker and Jerry Krause?

I probably won't make time to listen to Angelo all the time, but despite his issues I sort of like the move. Having an experienced GM as a guest can be an interesting listen. If he genuinely tries at the job, I'm sure the insight and perspective of a connected former football CEO would be more of an interesting listen than even what the city's most respectable sports journalists have to offer.

He's good on Twitter, so he should be good on The Game as well.

You guys are crazy the a Great acquisition for The Game

ANY former NFL GM would be good and this has the added bonus of being recent and relevant to the Bears

Does the Score have an NFL GM for he draft?

Oh that's right they have Adam Hog

Gotta agree with RPB here, even though I won't listen. He might suck at radio, but it won't be because he sucked as a GM. Mike Lombardi seems like a pretty bad GM, but he was a great podcast/radio guest.

So you don't agree with RPB.

Oh yeah. I guess not. I'm not even sure what the fuck I thought RPB said. I don't agree really with any of that.

I thought Lombardi was making some good moves in Cleveland. His problem seems to be that he's getting clowned by ownership.

I give a reasonable amount

He's good as a commentator. Its not transferable to being a GM.

Vin Scully would probably be a terrible GM and Jerry West would be a terrible announcer

I hate him on Twitter. Every criticism he gives other signings is exactly something he did. My favorite recent one:

Quote:
Any lessons learned? None for some. It’s an endless cycle: Overpay for average players or tarnished stars & recoup
some of the monies you spent on them by cutting them two years later. So you can go out and do it all over again, particularly when the cap goes up.

I’m not saying there weren’t some good signing, but most of the signings in the first and second weeks will have little chance of playing to the contracts they were rewarded with.

Orlando Pace? Chester Taylor? Manumaleuna? That was one year!

So, who will record Jerry Angelo's theme song intro?.. Kap or Haugh?

Yeah, and I guess ownership was probably a hindrance in Oakland too. At least he landed on his feet in NE, in whatever capacity that is.

True. Hawk Harrelson is another good example of this.

He's going to love the signing because it's exactly what he would have done: sign expensive free agents to replace bad first round draft picks.
