Do you really think I give a shit about your meaningless thoughts?

But you clearly DO give a shit about Don's thoughts. It's obvious they touched a nerve.

Loss of what? Rosenbloom is terrible.

He's a C- or D-Lister who thinks he's an A-Lister and has never had a noteworthy role on any show on any station. He's pretty much the snarky, negative version of Teinowitz, only far less successful. He tries way too hard to create catchphrases and then drives them into the ground within minutes, his "too cool for the room" act is brutal, and he goes SO far out of his way to be negative -- I think he think he's being cleverly skeptical -- that it all rings hollow.

The only thing he's useful for is calling out Bernstein on his shit when he co-hosts with him.

He did once before, so what would be different?

Another Bernstein type is not what a new station trying to get its' legs needs. Rosenbloom is too much in that same vein and there is little point in alienating the very new listeners you're trying to attract.

I met him once many, many years ago at Shoeless Joe's (a moment of silence). The newspaper/radio pud thing didn't come across that strong as he sat and had a beer with us. I do think he plays loose with the facts to be a pud.

He would leave the Score if he got a full time gig at the GAME. Contract or not. He really doesn't work at the Score much. Just his Saturday show. Bernstein is the only one that has him as a sub and it's really not that often.

But it looks like that will never happen for Rosie. I think he wanted a show there, probably begged for one, they said "no" and now it seems he's crying about it and has burned his bridge with this DeCastro guy because he didn't get it. So it will never happen.

I think Rosie thought he would get it cuz he's a Trib guy.

Like I alluded to in the Mac thread, it has to feel pretty shitty to ask for a job with a station your newspaper owns (for now) and be turned down while they hire David Haugh, who has never been able to articulate a cogent thought in print, spoken word, or smoke signals.

Absolutely amazing isn't it? How this guy graduated from a small town paper, I'll never understand.

I dont think Rosenbloom is as bad as people are making him sound.

He's good in small doses (like sat mornings)

I agree. Solid fill-in or weekend guy. His act might get old every day though.

There is nothing he says or writes that would give me any interest to hear or read him.

That assessment is spot on.

He's gotten way to negative and into his own stuff over the last few years.
