The Chicago Cubs and the Chicago White Sox have a combined payroll equal to the Philadelphia Phillies and significantly less than the Yankees and Dodgers.

One thing is clear. Both sides of town need to start investing more in payroll starting next year.

It's embarrassing that both Chicago teams are in the bottom 10 of payroll.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of blind splurging...but the Cubs should never be in the bottom third.
