Zlatan vs Mourinho!

I still think Madrid will win this year. Wouldn't be surprised if Atletico got by Barca.

Bayern will win the tie by at least 4 goals over Man U.

As well as Atletico is doing this year. If I'm Mourinho, I would have to think long and hard about replacing Cech with Courtois as my number 1.

United trying to pull a 2012 Chelsea vs Barcelona on Munich. Kind of spineless to play like that at home. But they've actually had the best chance to score. Welbeck got a bit too cute. Doesn't Neuer look like a Waffen SS commander?

Schweinsteiger and Martinez are out for the return leg in Munich. Most United fans think this was a "win." I'll admit they played better than they looked capable of based on their recent form. Still, they gave up a goal at home. No chance they win in Munich and could they really pull off a 2-2 draw?

Atletico got the draw in Barcelona. Fantastic goal.

Mou didn't even play a striker.

Guess they are all in the dog house. Can they win 2-0 at the Bridge? Maybe. Heard Jose was pissed when PSG scored in extra time and walked off the pitch before the final whistle.

I have a PSG kit from maybe 2002, way before they were owned by oilionaires. Go PSG. Plus Zlatan's awesome.

Nothing surprises me anymore with this Chelsea bunch. Been reading that Mourinho may launch 7 players out of Stamford Bridge in the next transfer window (Torres, Ba, Eto'o, Lukaku, Cole, Mikel and Luiz).

Wonder if Victor Moses will make his loan switch to Liverpool permanent. Sounds like Mourinho's top target is Athletico striker Diego Costa. Chelsea may let Thaibaut Courtois stay at Athletico and Costa would move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea needs to do something about their strikers. The group they have now is one big giant pile of steaming suck.

On the bright side, I listen to the FOX feed if the Chelsea-PSG match through my Sirius/XM app and got Martin Tyler. So that was good.

Shades of Chelsea's 5-4 aggragate win over Napoli in the 2012 Champions League Round of 16. Chelsea overturned a 3-1 deficit and won the second leg 4-1.

Today, Chelsea trailed 3-1 against PSG after the first leg. Goals by Andre Schurrle and Demba Ba to win 2-0 and advanced on away goals.

Broussia Dortmund beat Real Madrid 2-0 but Madrid advances 3-2 on aggragate.

Tomorrow, ManYoo faces Bayern Munich and Barcelona plays Atletico Madrid.

Just heard that it looks like Wayne Rooney will be for tomorrow's match.

Both matches were 1-1 after the first leg.

holy shit chelsea did it? i wasn't prioritizing watching today because i thought both PSG and RM were through..... hey at least zlatan has a better excuse than the usual invisibility cloak (borrowed from mesut ozil) as to why he didn't show up in another big game.

#DareToZlatan
'
ah well, at least they get the consolation prize in the form of ligue 1 cuz i can't picture anyone being within 10pts of them. not quite the cushion that buyern had/has/will-always-have but etc etc.

ah well they'll go get hazard and sagna and why not vermaelen too and wenger and whatever they want. platini won't stop them.

also, arsenal. i could dredge up the other thread (and i will cuz i have some #LWAR branded thoughts about the inevitable scouser premiership) but like, yeah. i saw that game. and if anyone ever read any of the walls of text about football-proper i've dropped on here you can tell that these types of results weren't exactly what i'd categorize as a surprise.

still tho, damn about chelsea. last thing the world, let alone the EPL, needs is a(/nother?) mourinho double. tho that's way better than a liverpool championship for reasons i will state in the near future (and i know you're waiting with bated breath)

Hey, guy, a Liverpool title would be great for the Prem. It'd bring all that old hatred of LFC back and I wouldn't have to read all these goddamn maudlin Scouse fucks retelling the same vainglorious football tales from 35 years ago ad nauseam on LFC forums. And do you really want some Cossack or Sheikh's wet dream club winning the league again? You might yet get your wish. Man City and Chelsea the Reds still have, plus an away trip to that track-suited deplorable cocksucker Pulis and his Palace. Donkey ball playing motherfucker. I know Everton is kicking you down into Europa League hell. It's been such a sweet little perch for Wenger the last 15 years. He's one of the all time greats but they're so shit right now. How do you look hopeless against Everton? That's quite a feat.

You know how the President always looks 20 years older by the time his term is up? Moyes has that going on after less than a year at United.

I think the problem with the Champions League is that by the end the only teams left are full of utter shitstains. ManUs 3 goal collapse was fun at least and hopefully Atletico will put Barca away.

I think I'm actually happier about Barca going out than Man Utd. It'd be nice if Barca lost the league too. Sanctimonious Catalan fucks.

Jose looked like such a jackass sprinting down that touchline.

I have a feeling Chelsea will get either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals. I think UEFA wants a Real Madrid-Bayern Munich final.

If Chelsea is matched up with Atletico. Their goalkeeper Courtois can't play because he is an on-loan Chelsea player.

I'd go so far as to say there's a 67% chance they'll get one of those teams.

the 33% comes in and Chelsea get Atletico. Their keeper can play, it just depends on if Atletico want to piss Chelsea off and risk them not loaning him back to them next year.

Atletico quickly replacing Dortmund as soccer hipsters club d'jour. Marco Reus has been replaced by Koke as their new favorite player.

Well looky here...UEFA issues a statement that Thaibaut Courtois can play for Atlético against Chelsea and guess who Chelsea draws...Atlético...don't get me wrong...is rather play Atlético than either Real Madrid or Bayern Müchen...should be a great semi-final

Well there was never any doubt he could play, just that if he did Atletico would have to pay Chelsea €3m a game. Still, Atletico has to decide if it's worth possibly losing him on loan next year. You'd think it'd be worth the risk with a Champions League Final on the line, but who knows.

Atletico is fucked financially. Club has lots of debt. They have to go all out this year. I don't see them getting back to these heights any time soon. Costa is gone in the summer. Maybe Koke and Turan, too.

Cech out. The Schwarzer is subbed in. Chelsea playing the turtle lineup.

For all the money Chelsea spend on attacking players you'd think they'd play with a style a wee bit more attractive. I like the tactical chess matches of later round Champion League ties but even I got a breaking point. Despicably cautious from Mou. It's like he knows his squad can't score so he set up to play for penalty kicks next week.

Even better he gets to bunker without Cech and Terry. Plus he's threatening to sit everybody against Liverpool on Sunday because he's mad they didn't move that game to Saturday with the 2nd CL leg on Wednesday. Mou is such a drama queen it's pathetic.

Nice counter goal from Madrid. Not much from Bayern tonight.

Real and Atletico. Hmmm.

I predicted Real would win this at the start of the season but Alonso is missing the final due to accumulated yellows. I think that will be the difference and Atletico will pip them. Then, Chelsea will sign 3-4 of their players after the World Cup.
