I thought I heard someone mention that Puig packed on quite a bit of muscle in the off-season. Is this true?

I'm not sure, but he didn't even square it.. Scully was still into some narrative from the offseason and it went way into the upper deck at Petco.

I look at Puig like a high variance player like Fat Panda. He could either win the BA title, and compete for the MVP-- or get buried on Mattingly's bench and spend half the year on the DL.

Tigers new manager Ausmus is 2 for 2 challenging calls in today's game vs the Royals.

Indians/A's are in a challenge situation now too. Just get the robot umpires already. I'm tired of the replay delays already.

While I don't complain about it, baseball isn't known for being the quickest of sports. I don't mind the extra 2 minutes once or twice per game.

So far I'm not seeing the return of healthy and explosive Albert Pujols. His bat looks slow.

Holy hell. Anyone hear the Cingrani stat? First pitcher in 100 years to have 19 straight starts with fewer than five hits against/stat. Unreal. Not to start a career, but any stretch.
