It's not out of the question. 7 more games against terrible teams. They win all of them and you have the most improbable 50 win team in NBA history.

Yawn.

I do think however they will put up a good fight in the playoffs.

Lots of character on this squad.

Very important off season. And they will have Charlotte's 1st Round pick too unless they totally collapse.

In one of the threads I said the Bulls have a shot at winning 50 games. It's was about a month ago. Regardless Thibs should be CoY.

He should, but he won't win it. Didn't Jerry Sloan famously never win it? And Some horrible coaches have. NBA COY is one of the biggest jokes there is. I do think Hornacek deserves some recognition this year though. But Pops and Phil would've honestly split the last twenty awards if it was given on merit alone.

He's been on a streak lately, like streaky players are prone to. But I don't like him. He's a horrific defender and he stops the ball too much, but isn't good enough to warrant it. When he drops 30 it's the ugliest 30 points this side of Ricky Davis. Can't wait till he's not on the team anymore. He's a necessary evil at this point.

The two best coaches in the NBA are Pop and Thibs and they're the two only real choices for COTY. Hornacek is done a good job in Phoenix but nothing compared to what these guys do. The Spurs might end up with their all time best record this season.

not really what was hoped for in the Charlotte pick. It was always thought it would be a lottery pick

My fear was getting that lottery pick in a shitty draft.

Thibs is amazing in his ability to get NBA players to work hard every night and not hang their heads after a loss. What is really sad is that GarPax seem to want to run this guy out of town. Hopefully the Chairman realizes how great Thibs is.

yeah just pulled up NBAdraft.net. They have the Bulls taking 2 PFs. I don't see that happening.

He's done too much for them to be able to run him out of town. They would have to trade the core in order to do that. He isn't going anywhere.

DraftExpress has them taking Stauskas and Harrell. I don't see Stauskas falling to 16.

NBA draft net has Stauskas falling to #25. Do you think he will be a good pro?

Harrell is a very interesting option.

I hope you're right. He is so good. I've watched a lot of Bulls basketball this year because this team is fun. They move the ball really well. The emergence of Noah has been spectacular. I saw several plays last night where the ball went fast to Noah who dished to Taj for an easy score. The Hawks had no answer for it or maybe no interest in winning.

Yeah I do. And there's absolutely no way he's around at 25. Last I've heard he was being discussed in the #12-15 range. This is the first I've heard the last few weeks of him being slotted after 20. I'd love for the Bulls to get him. I'm not sure about Jimmy Butler's future here. He's regressing as an offensive player who's asked to shoot more than 5-6 times a game.

I worry he is just going to be a one dimensional shooter. I don't see him being able to create his own shot or really be what the Bulls need.

I'm not sure how it will translate to the NBA, but I saw him take guys off the dribble a lot in the tourney and from what I've read about him that part of his game has really improved. I like his height for a backcourt player, and I think he will be athletic enough for Thibs to mold into a solid player. I definitely think he has a much higher ceiling than a guy like Snell. I will say that part of this is me being a little down on Jimmy this year. I think it's clear he's not going to be the Kawhi Leonard/Luol Deng type player we all were hoping for after last season. He looks like a poor man's Tony Allen.

I agree with you on Butler. I was really high on him coming into this year, but he has not been able to build on it like I thought he would.

I like James Young out of Kentucky. He seems like a guy that just knows how to score and could be a pretty nice shooter and someone that could create his own shot.

Defensively Butler has taken another step forward. Offensively he is more aggressive but his shot isn't there. It can be improved. I'm still high on him. He is a championship caliber player.

I don't really know much about Young. Seems like kind of a project player and I feel like we already have that in Snell. I'm hoping at least one of these next two picks will contribute immediately. That's probably asking for too much though considering Thibs approach.
