It would make a big difference if he can at least be adequate.

like Apologist said, he has gotten better every year. He may be a little overmatched right now but he should be able to hold 2B until Beckham returns

  CB Bucknor is one of the worst umps in the league. That was not a strike.

As others have said the bullpen looks like it will be their main weakness.

How long until Eaton runs into a wall, and requires a DL stint?

Is that an actual thing or are you just making it up?

Yes, real. I don't remember if it was anyone who matters but some scout called him that

As crazy as it sounds some say Contreras was the best in the world when he was playing in Cuba

Contrearas was the best in the world for a one year period over two seasons

Absolutely

Jorr has said something along the lines of he was probably the best in the world when he was younger in Cuba

Thats bad baseball thinking then. He was just as likely to get a hit as a guy whose been sitting on the bench all day in 35 degree weather who is old and not very good anymore .

It didn't seem to affect Pauly yesterday when he got a pinch hit in the 9th inning off the same pitcher.

When was this? I have a very hard time believing that when Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, and Pedro Martinez were all in their primes.

I would've kept Flowers in there, but I don't think it was a terrible call.

If either the bullpen or the defense can improve to league average, this will be an entertaining year. If both remain this bad, it's gonna be another long summer.

They had a runner in a pickle, and looked completely lost. It looked like little leaguers trying to tag him.

Then Id argue that him getting up and doing it again was even less likely to happen than Flowers getting another hit.

I remember reading that, IIRC it was more along the lines of "Best Hitter not yet in the MLB" which is a little different, probably still hyperbolic however.

And I see my guy Semien went yard 8)

He's got a little Rowand in him. I don't think Rowand was ever the same after running through a wall for the.. Phils?
