I know there is a thread but I'm pressed for time. I'm buying a relative that I like but not in a sexual way a bottle of whiskey for a thank you gift. Looking for recs of 50-75.
Thanks

Hope I covered all the jokes!

I'd go with Blanton's.

Yup.

Good bourbon, and a very cool looking bottle as well.

I always thought Paddy's had an interesting and colorful label. Your relative won't know the difference if it is good or bad.

Whiskey market pisses me off. I used to drink PVW 15. then that got insanely expensive. then Weller 12, then that disappeared. Fuck off.

drinking Bulleit now. probably should fill the basement with cases of it.

I just don't like the idea that any time there’s a dinner invitation there's this annoying little chore that goes along with it.

You know, you're getting to be an annoying little chore yourself.

Do you think chickens have individual personalities?

If you had five chickens could you tell them apart by just the way they acted? Or would they all just be walking around? Cluck, puk cluck? Because if they have individual personalities I don't think we should be eating them. What's the matter with you?

I’ll tell you, if I was running for office I would ask for the death penalty for double-parkers. If this is allowed to go on this is not a society. THIS IS ANARCHY!

Ya' know, that reminds me of an old buddy of mine, Chuck the chicken. Chuck played a mean bass guitar, but he would only do gigs for hen pellets. Well, one night, the bar manager where we were playing was a grumpy old drunk named Danny with no use for chickens. Some even called him roostist, but I didn't think so. Well, ole Danny was on a roll that night and refused to pay in pellets. Chuck wasn't happy, but he managed to feather down. When the bar closed that night, I'll never forget what happened. Danny went to get in his car and sat in a giant pile of poop. He was so pissed his face was as red as a tomato. When Danny hopped out of the car, there was Charlie peeling out and yelling "Cluck you!"

Danny doesn't let me live it down to this day. He thinks the whole thing was real chicken shit.
