Better numbers than Konerko through those 1075

He will be a decent 25 hr first baseman.

Konerko's best years were in his 30s. If he did not have the steroid fueled resurgence Konerko would not have been the beloved Paulie he is today.

by the way

Konerko's first 1261 AB

.281, 52, 207

Rizzo's first 1,075

.237, 39, 137

You can tell he tried to stay back on a few change ups that dove in on him and he tried to swat at them like bugs. But he was choked up. That makes me think he is totally baffled by lefties as I did see him shorten up with 2 K's during spring and swat balls for easy base hits v righties.

Concerning when you know he is aware of the issue, he knows what to do and just can't, or didnt work on it enough.

At least I move meters around here.

Rizzo 4 for last 11
Abreu 1 for last 11

I watched some Abreu at Bats today, looks like they are going to do the same thing to Abreu as Rizzo, everything will be tight inside, if they hit him, so be it.

So you're still going with that free agent vs cost controlled contract comparison? Where does the Andrew Cashner acquisition cost factor in?

We can figure it out in 4 years when the Sox trade Abreu for Phase II of their REBUILDING. Yes, it is a REBUILDING.

It's not purposely designed to lose though. The Yankees are also REBUILDING.

Right behind the Gio Gonzalez for Nick Swisher trade but just ahead of the Nick Swisher trade for Wilson Betemit, Jeff Marquez, & Jhonny Nunez.

But seriously take the dollars off the table and go back to Stones Abreau is "far superior to Rizzo" statement and look at the numbers thus far..... small sample YES but Stones comment was based on a similar small sample...lets see by the end of the season if Jose is "FAR SUPERIOR" to Anthony.

Next time I see JORR I am going to pin him down and feed him Vodka Tonics and force him to say "OK, IT"S A REBUILD"

heard DJ call it "Corrective measures to the roster"

The mandate must really be out to not call it a REBUILD, because then Sox fans would never come to the park.

I see. Sox fans can't bring up 2005 because it was so long ago now, but Cubs fans can reference trades that were made in 3 days into 2008.

Makes sense.
