My poor liver. I've taken some time off from drinking since last week. I can't imagine it's particularly happy. Probably feeling grilled and unloved.

Although it is pretty warm out...

Maybe I'll grant my liver a break.

Unless someone wants to bring me something grilled. I'm sure I'll fire up the Brinkmann tomorrow night.

I'm a Brinkmann guy too. Pro Series 2700, 6 burners. Bought it 14 years ago & still going strong.

Nice. I'm using the charcoal for some steaks tonight also. Using them to make tacos el carbon.

Did more ribeyes tonight...still getting a system down for cooking the steaks over the coals...cheated a bit and did the direct heat on the gas side before moving them into the charcoal portion for the indirect...

...we decided that we are pretty much doing grilled food all week long...gonna make a run down to the cities Tuesday or Wednesday to grab something at a seafood market a guy at work was talking about.

Nah, I ended up getting this gas/charcoal combo that came highly recommended from Spanky.

I wanted to get into the charcoal game, but since my gas grill went belly up a few months ago it was either buy two new grills or go with a combo...and so far I don't regret the choice I made in the least.

No way. Not to go all Bernstein but my 7 year old son requested a grilled steak for this week. I can't wait to get that going.

Pork chops...insanely good...had a smoker box filled with apple woodchips sitting on the coals, so they had all kinds of smoky goodness going on...brushed on some BBQ sauce halfway through.

No grilling tonight. Tuesday night is .50 cent Oyster night at Country House. Feels like a 3 dozen night.

Did some chicken breasts that I marinated -- boring to talk about, but man, they do taste good.

That sounds amazing. Where are the oysters from?

Couple weeks ago I pounded down 4 dozen in one sitting in Folly Beach, SC. Place there has has 1/2 price oysters every day during happy hour. I felt like a pig in slop.

...also grilled some shrimp in the shell...almost taste like I was eating lobster...

...worst (or best, depending on how you look at it) is the gf didn't like it one bit...so it looks like I'm having kick ass leftovers at work the next two days.
