I gotta tell ya, Reader. I feel pretty good about my position on this one. Kids a stud.

Has your Boy played a game yet? I went to one this morning and damn it was cold. Looks like next week will be wiped out too. This really sucks.

I may have jumped the gun on Touki, but I didn't see him repeat anything when I saw him pitch. But, he was/is new to the game.

They may play Rita this week, after two weeks of games have been cancelled. But I sincerely doubt it as I haven't seen 46+ degrees in a forecast for next week yet. Even worse, their lakefront home field still has a foot of snow on the foul lines and behind the plate.

Who in the hell has actually gotten games in around here? Even today?

Bukauskas strengthens and already amazing group of draft eligible High School pitchers. Bukauskas is committed to the University of North Carolina.

They easily could but they prefer not to so they'll draft a high school catcher(ish) with the 4th pick.

Keyser,
I caught the tail end of something on the radio and am not sure about it.
They were talking about a kid that threw a perfect seven inning game.
He struck out all 21 he faced and only threw 84 pitches.
I thought they said it was college.
Do you know anything?

It was a high school kid out east, first ever varsity start. My son was telling me about it.

Best part:

He said he didn’t feel nervous entering the game but began to in the later innings, especially on a bunt attempt that went foul with one out in the sixth.

Verlander would have called that bush league!

My son asked me why somebody wouldn't have bunted, and I told him because back when I played your buddy coming up next would have gotten ear-holed. Don't know if that would still go on today or not.

Keyser, do you see Schwarber being a star in the big leagues?

He's got a chance because he's gonna hit. The big question with him is if he can stay behind the plate or if he's a 1B/DH.
