Beardown, how do you think Drinky feeks about all this ?

I'll say this: When Goff left, I warned him about going "Full Bernstein" in the South. Told him to be careful. Told him it wouldn't go over well. If he did and got fired for it, well, I tried to help him.

You can lead a Bernstein clone to water, but you can't make him drink.

Sorry to hear this for Goff, will be interesting to see what has went down.

I hope it leads him back to the radio air waves in Chicago.

It's been called The Night Show for a while.

I suspect he's making enough coin from he NBA show now that he can move back here and take a fill-in spot somewhere with the promise he will get an open spot soon.

Agreed, Goff and Matty would be a great listen. Might put some of the humor back into the Score that Boers and Bernstein are lacking nowadays.

Rodney Ho is like the Robert Feder of Atlanta, so if he says it, then it must be true. He can do the XM NBA show in Chicago.

My prediction:


1. Mac leaves The Score in June, will go to WGN in September.

2. Holmes will take over Mac's spot, and the show will be called "Spiegel and Holmes".

3. Goff comes back to The Score and does the night show.

Well…..I think after the ratings disaster that was Spiegel/Holmes the 1st time around, I can't see Mitch doing that again. Holmes stays at night and Goff goes to middays with Spiegs.

He sucks.

Yeah after the ratings issue I just don't see Larry getting that spot. I would prefer it to be without meatpants as well, but Goff and meatpants would be way better than anything with Larry.

So he was the night-time host of the No. 3 all-sports station in Atlanta (no city needs 3 sports stations, including here). If the Score took him back and gave him any show, it would be a pretty miraculous comeback. He needs to be honing his skills in Starkville, MS. They'd love him down there.
