Goffstein is uncharacteristically quiet . Usually when some news concerning him happens, he Krazy Ivans his way here for a well placed 'sup or  Its ok Jason, most of us have been shitcanned from a job at one time or another. Maybe you can get some fill in work at the Game or something. Hell, Jarret Payton has a gig there youve got to be at least in the ballpark as talented as he is.

Was it salsa or seltzer?

THE REVENGE OF TACO MAC!!!

I called the Taco Mac impact months ago. I might be better at this than Beardown.

Or maybe he put the guy on-air without telling him?

Have you ever been to Taco Mac?? The place blows. It is supposed to be full of great beer and yet when I was at it the tap list blew. The food did as well....and its not a mexican restaurant. The were apparently too cheap to get a new sign when they took over the old mexican place so they left it up.

Mitch hires 'em but doesn't fire 'em.

In order for your theory of "Mitch doesn't fire Joos" to be correct, then wouldn't there have to be a long list of goyim that he has fired? Who has he let go, besides the stuttering and stammering Dan Hampton? Kerry Sayers still has her job reading updates, despite struggling to get through a few paragraphs of written copy.

As usual, you are grasping at straws.

You know, I've always felt bad for Sayers when she got made fun of here. I mean, she isn't great, but she's just an update chick. She was never an asshole like these other goofs. But yesterday, she had to drag up Les shitting his pants again. And that's just weak. Les is an easy target for someone like her. It would take nerve to make fun of Terry or bernstein. Or to throw a shot at Spiegel. The hell with her.

The Great Southern Salsa Incident shall not keep Jason down.

It seems strange that you would fire the night time shift guy for bad ratings after 1.5 years especially while the Hawks have part of the cause for those flagging ratings. Did they have a change in management? It really shows no dedication to developing young talent.

Maybe when they get some young talent , they'll develop it.

Maybe they don't like Goff? Maybe they think he is bad at radio? Maybe the majority in Atlanta doesn't listen/like him? Maybe they think he's hard to work with?

That's right. Have you ever worked with an arrogant bastard from Evanston, Illinois?

Its pretty frequent in the radio business to make frequent panic changes to format etc.

Citing ratings or some minor controversy (if it is a controversy, don't know yet) sounds like the typical spin you'd use to explain away firing a guy you just wanted to get rid of, for whatever reason.

this makes me wonder just what has exactly compromised goff's vision over the years.... woMEN?

btw, how does this firing get him closer to his dream of starring in the next ciroc viodka commercial with puffy and the whiteboys? comeon: who doesn't wanna ditch the chicks get up on that roof at sunrise and go YEAHHHHHH with your drink in the air? that's the last thing you do before you straightup wave your dick at god.

Sini obviously views being gay as an insult or a put down. Or if he believes Goff is a closeted homosexual, he enjoys taunting him...

you'd have to ask nas about the woMEN thing cuz that was a homage to his earlier usage of it in the thread.

as for me, well, clearly it's wishful thinking because don't you remember that thing where i'm so obsessed with him that i tried getting to him through his sister? my ethering, if you will? clearly i'm projecting/hoping/crossing my fingers. i'll be at the airport waiting for him with a bottle of something 100+ proof and a boombox playing our song.
