I know, Crawford has played well. I said it before, this series is the Vancouver 2011 series redux.

Series feels more like 2012 than 2011. The 2011 team was bad all year, the 2012 team was good for the first half and then sucked. Now here we are with two overtime games and a big suspension coming up. Unlike Mike Smith coming right back in the game after his "hit," I hope Seabrook got his money's worth. Backes better spend the next month of his life pissing himself.

So basically Cap'n Effort is good for either a Stanley Cup or a first-round elimination after a crappy regular season and nothing in between.

But this years team was not bad all year. You keep saying that and it is still not true. We just got spoiled last year.

Nothing is over till the final minute of the final game and the horn goes off ending it all. Till then I will be here watching and cheering my boys on. Remember last year in the Detroit series? Situation was much more desperate and longshot than this.

One question though,Seabrook is looking at 2-3 games. Why,he has never been suspended for this before and does not have a history.

Right. Neither was 2012's team. That team was in first place in the league for a while before Toews got hurt and they had that nine-game losing streak. This year's team was bad since January, cobbling together enough loser points to keep their heads above water but rarely winning games decisively.

I'm not optimistic. But I don't think they're done. It's the Blues!

This looks like a complete meltdown on the part of the Hawks. The worst part is that public opinion has shifted toward the Blues due to the Hawks' "classlessness." Never thought I'd see the day.

All but Kane's have been been defenseman goals. Need our top offensive players to step up. Cough cough Sharp, Hossa, Kane, and Toews. Feel free to contribute a goal or 10.

Sublimated the frustration of the day's events by running six miles that I otherwise wouldn't have bothered running due to worsening shin splints! Always look on the bright side of life!

Im sorry but even down 0-2, fuck the Blues. They've had the puck luck ,going back to St Lou tied 2-2. Book it.

See, I see it as two games the Hawks should have won but lost, meaning we haven't even gotten to the games that St. Louis will win handily. Could be a sweep.

Disagree. The Hawks have skated circles around them at times but the Blues have been the unlucky ones with all the posts and such. That's what makes this even more concerning. What's going to happen when the puck luck evens out?

I don't see it as the Blues being unlucky. The Hawks have had no luck either. A guy falling into the net to keep a goal from being scored. puck barely missing going in as it crosses the net.

The Hawks may lose this series, but it will not be a sweep.

What's really scary going forward is that the Canadian dollar dropped in value and now the salary cap for next year is $3MM lower than forecast.

Thanks Obama.

The league will be in real trouble if the Canadian dollar ever hits 65 cents USD again like it did in the mid-1990s.

Isn't it time for a common North American currency, or at least Canada/US?

I'm totally fine with the defense scoring goals. It means they are getting guys in front of the net to screen Miller. Blues are scoring goals in mostly the same fashion. Guys in front of the net either screening or tipping in the puck.

The penalty kill for the Hawks deserve every second of praise for taking that 5 minute penalty to the waning seconds.

Crawford has deserved better in this series. I don't think he is letting up any worse types of goals as he did in the Boston series. The difference is in the Boston series, Hjalmarsson and Oduya picked up their game. So far this series, both have been playing a bit suspect at best. Which leads me to this. I think Oduya is playing on an injury that is affecting him. He will need to play better if they want to win this thing.

Speaking of Hjalmarsson, how long has this guy's luck held out. Late in the game, it looked like his leg was broken in two from blocking a shot. I'm not saying he should stop doing it, just can't see how the guy takes the abuse he does.

None of the role players, maybe with the exception of Versteeg, has stepped up. Shaw, Bickell, Bollig, Smith, Kruger... one of them needs to step up and score a goal or two.

I'm confident the Hawks will win at least one game this series.

The past two games have sucked but the worst part is St. Louis has transferred their experitise in baseball lecturing onto hockey. The Blackhawks have made the Blues and their fans sympathetic characters. Geez we suck.

Backes out, Berglund in, Blues lineup may have actually gotten better.

If the UC crowd isn't chanting "way-key, way-key" during the entire warmups (for sure) and periodically throughout the game, they may as well stay home.
