It still just amazes me how much these 2 guys dont mesh on anything.

Even a few minutes of my beloved Sox radio broadcast and you get

F:He looks kinda tall standing in that batters box' (Talking about some rook on Det)
J: well, he is standing straight up and down.
F: Like I said, he is standing tall.
J: Well he is 6'4"

While both try to move on to the next topic without insulting the guy they work with and keep their cushy job.

You dont have to real listen.

Just be working on something else, then you get 5 mins of it and you laugh at the notion that people claim they like each other.

I don't think they dislike each other. That stuff like you described above is their shtick. It just isn't very funny. Two guys doing deadpan is kind of weird.
