I think he is plenty entertaining -- far from the bottom 30% you might want to toss. Not my absolute favorite, but definitely in my top half of guys in sports radio in this market.

I heard some of this show the other day. Must have been during WSOX. It occurred to me Jurko has been at ESPN 1000 for 13 years now. That's some serious sports radio tenure. A very pedestrian and bland career with, to my recollection, zero moments that stand out. Just kind of a professional buffoon. Good for him, I guess. He's amusing but not a guy who moves the meters.

Jurko is a funny dude.

If you heard him break on NICK FRIEDELL the other day, it was awesome. On the verge of uncomfortable radio, made Carmen squirm in his seat for those 10 minutes.

He's the Tony Siragusa of full-time hosts.

*edit* Carmen is the plankton of full-time hosts.

He's a lazy asshole. WHILE ON THE RADIO. Maybe Dan and Terry are lazy off the air and don't watch enough (any) sports, but at least they pay attention to their own radio show. Okay, maybe not Terry, but Jurko's worse because he's more belligerent about it. He's entertaining off and on, but has a complete lack of professionalism on the radio. Not that you have to be a radio pro to be listenable, but the way Jurko presents himself makes me PTFB frequently.

Caught that. I liked it because I don't like listening to Friedell. It was uncomfortable.

Jurko is great. I wish he was on the score.

Jurko was hilarious when I listened.

He's also pretty sharp in person compared to the character on the radio
