Yea I can't see them getting anything for Boozer except bad contracts (thus negating their flexibility) and I'd be shocked if Phil would take him back in a sign and trade. Jerry will have to eat the 16.8M.

As for Melo? A long shot at best and not sure he'd be worth the cost either.

It's all about expiring contracts.

The Knicks are going to tank big time next year. They've got Amare and Chandler coming off the books next season, and if they acquire Boozer also, that will come to around $40 million in money to spend in free agency in 2015.

The Knicks would need the Bulls to take back some contracts and they would need some draft picks. Without giving up Taj I really can't see how it is possible.
