Great beard. No IMU17 beard, but good effort.

And Cashner is a good pitcher. He's just not the Ace that Dolphin wants him to be

until they start to remember there is no reason not to throw strikes to a guy who can't hit 2/3rds of the league well.

You should like him better when he couldn't hit lefties.

Except if they threw him more strikes...he would likely hit better...

This is why they don't throw him strikes in the first place.

You are getting worse with your baseball thoughts. You used to be about 50/50 trolling/actual decent thoughts. Its at like 80/20 now.

Be careful.

He knows that. He's just dolphining

Rizzo could hit .400 for the year and dolphin would say it was a down year for pitching

So you theory is that he is hitting .230 against RHP because they are simply not throwing him enough strikes...sounds plausible.

I don't know if I like this. If Rizzo only takes walks for the rest of his career, his OPS is 1.000.

I expected more.

This is why Steve Stone is one of the best.

Rizzo is a pretty good player. Stone could have chosen a lot of bad players on the Cubs. Instead, he chose one of the two good players they have and made a bold prediction and now he is rolling in that glory.

Wait - he is?

We're deeming this to be over after a month?

Even if we are...far superior? No, Abreu hasn't proven himself to be far superior yet.

yes 30 days and done. The White Sox won a bunch of awards.

It used to be wait 60 games to determine what you have, but Billy Melton said he doesnt need 60, this team is fine.

Rizzo is a bust and they are working on the Abroo statue as we speak.

Wait till Davidson gets there! That team strikeout record will once again be in jeopardy.

Rick Hahn has a lifetime extension

You can take the guy with higher WAR. I'll take the guy leading the majors in HRs and leading the AL in RBI (2 off the MLB lead).

Those are out dated stats that only the ignorant and old time guys pay attention to, thankfully they are all dying.

I find myself wondering what would happen if Danks faced Danks.

It would be a never ending circle of a guy who was pitching worse than the guy he was facing, but the guy he was facing failed to give any run support.

Sounds like Rizzo was robbed of NL player of the month then.

Wow. You can't even give a Cubs guy a compliment without a ton of blowback.

Listen, I'm sorry I think that the guy who just won AL player of the month is outperforming your guy.

No, I just wanna be clear what were using to judge. The old eye test? OK

I figured Rizzos WAR would be higher because of Defense (which makes WAR not as good IMO

I was surprised by the OPS+ though
