You may notice Taj and Noah are really the only players Thibs talks about. If you GarPax trades one of them there may be an untimely death in the Bulls front office.

By trading Dunleavy the Bulls will have nearly $20M to offer a free agent or to offer multiple free agents.

Why? Thibs is headed out of town. First round exit in the playoffs gives GarPax the cover they need to part ways with him.

If OKC exits in the 1st round, Thibs could end up there. Lakers are asking about Thibs. Sounds like Warriors are dumping Mark Jackson regardless of how deep Golden State goes in the playoffs. Golden State might be the best spot for Thibs--younger roster in need of coaching up on D.

Doubt the Bulls let Thibs go to an Eastern Conference team--tho given Thibs shitty playoff record (17-22), might be smart to send him to Indy if Vogel is cached at the end of the season.

Send Thibs & Boozer to LA and amnesty D-Rose and start the rebuilding process--get on a Theo 3/5/7/14/114 year plan.

Getting rid of Thibs is going to be a really hard sell to Bulls fans. I don't envy the people who will have to spin that one.

CH, do you really think they give a shit about selling that to the fans? They haven't sniffed a title in 16 years and the Chairman is nowhere close to getting rid of Garpax. Rose fell in their lap and that's about it.

What the fans think is the most important thing to JR. Winning regular season games matter, it helps sell out games.

This isn't the Sox. This team has bills to pay. Jerry hasn't had a LOSING (financially speaking) with the Bulls since 1983.

Exactly.

Coach Cartwright. Bulls make money.
Coach Vinnie. Bulls make money.
Coach ? I would assume Bulls make money.

Jerry makes money when the house is full. Not the Bulls. The Bulls get the tickets, but Jerry gets his 50% of the popcorn, hot dogs, VIP seats, Boxes, parking.

he only has to split his 50% with one guy.

That deal wasnt offered to the state. We got to build the cell to offer bacon on a stick.

When I said "Bulls" I meant Reinsdorf.

If he hasn't had a losing financial season since 83, does it really matter who the coach is to him? Or am I not following?

Boston shit-canned Francona after he won them 2 world series and they shit-talked him on the way out. Bulls will trade Thibs this off-season and they'll blame Thibs maniacal coaching-style for Rose's injury issues.

Yeah, but Cutler has never been the league MVP either so it's not a fair comparison.

In his defense, he may have been cleared to play, but it doesn't mean he would have been useful.
