This is just another attempt by them to half-ass a position (LT) that you can't half-ass. They figured out you can't stick a flaky 7th round project there. They'll find out a flaky 1st round project won't work either. He may end up a serviceable G but those guys can be had in FA or middle rounds, not at 20.

I'm comfortable with this analysis. He's been better than serviceable, better than I thought he'd be but unless/until he becomes a stud LT, this was just a decent player that was overdrafted, at best, and a wasted opportunity at worst.

They stuck one at RT instead.

The snowball effect of passing on Shariff Floyd, Xavier Rhodes, Matt Elam, Desmond Trufant, Alec Ogletree to take a guard should not be forgotten.

Emery grabs Elam or Rhodes last year and perhaps he feels more comfortable taking Mosely or Shazier.

Good point. Replacing a bad 1st round pick always hurts.

Did anyone notice him missing? No?

This is why you don't use a 1st on a guard when there are other impact positions requiring youth.

Ola has looked good most of the season even though he has played every position on the O-line except C.
