Rumor has it that White Sox management is going to take Sale out back and shoot him.

Looks like my prediction was correct.

I'm also predicting that Abreu plays again.

What are the odds on "Pitcher may get injured at some point in the next few years"?

It was going to be interesting if he had stayed perfect through seven.

Shouldn't a perfect game through seven count as a perfect game?

Was Chris Sale yesterday the second greatest game ever pitched in Chicago, bumping Carrie Woods back to 3rd?

Read on CBS site this morning Ventura was glad the hit came (joking) but he would have taken him out. Sale was all for the team and would have completely understood. He said anyway.

I'm sure Sale is smart enough to understand. I'm just as sure he would have been arguing his ass off to keep going in a perfect game.

Imagine (this year anyway) a rotation starting with Sale, Buehrle, Quintana.

Great post. Chris Sale is fucking awesome. I wish we had four more of him.

If If I could take anyone in MLB to start a game it's a tossup between Darvish/Sale/Kershaw.

Sale was a finished product when he was drafted though. Johnson and Koufax had serious control issues which took them years to figure out.

Of course. I do not suggest Sale is better it is just interesting how some numbers look depending on how you present them. I really do recall Johnsons early Mariner years. Batters were genuinely afraid to get in the batters box. You never knew where that heat was going.

no doubt. And when both of them figured it out they were crazy good. It makes the end of their career numbers even more amazing when you consider that.

I gave Keyser a lot of shit for his Johnson comparison for Sale a couple years ago, but it is looking like it was a pretty good one.
