Cool article here. I'm sure everybody doesn't check NBA news during the offseason, so I thought I'd post this here.

Wow, must be a hot topic, considering it got only 8 views. Now I know how to disguise my Vegas Trip Threads in the future.

I like the idea of him learning to be "the man" by playing for GB. Hopefully that experience will lead over to the upcoming season.

Nice article. Luol has "star" written all over him. Not only is his game continuing to improve and evolve, but he seems to mentally have his shit together.

He is a nice player, but I don't think he'll ever be the #1 player on an NBA championship team. He is a good rebounder and an excellent mid-range shooter, but lacks an explosive first step, is an average (or worse) ballhandler, and an average one-on-one defender.

He's only 22 TM.
There is no reason to believe that he's done developing physically and his game.
The only trait that may prevent him from becoming a true alpha dog is his laid back personality.

I got your PM Bucket.
With all of the stuff my kids are into, I'm not sure if I'll have enough time to actively manage a team. I don't want to be the guy who sets his lineup once a month.
Post some league details and I'll be in a better position to estimate the required time investment.

I agree with most of this right now. While is isn't necessarily explosive he is a good slasher that can finish above the rim. As we saw last year he works hard and will continue to improve his game in the next couple of years. He is still a #2 option at best right now on a championship team.

I dont disagree completely, but his defense is improving, and his ability to drive to the basket has improved drastically. The way he stepped up his game so much in the playoffs gives me home for the future. and also not many SF's are going to be the best player on a championship team.

Deng entered the NBA with limited athleticism for his position and remains hampered by this problem. His skills will improve, but his athleticism will not and thus he will neither be a great player nor one of the top two or three players at his position. On a championship team, he likely maxes out as that squad's third best player.
