"The Cubs don't have to get better, everyone else just has to get a little worse!" Murph played that drop a lot, didn't he?

Thanks! For the life of me I couldn't remember the last name (confused with a Reverend Blood who held service in the Santa Anita clubhouse). The simplicity of his approach is as true as ever in regards to the Bulls. A healthy Rose, a gritty bench player with range on the jumper, and they will be contenders in a conference that can be won.

I guess I'd have to know what your definition of over-rated is. Do you not think he is currently the best player in the NBA? Secondarily, why don't you want to see him on the Bulls?

(Note: for the record, I loved watching the Heat lose and am not a member of the LBJ ALS. However, to not recognize the fact that he is an elite player seems a tad bit absurd. And as a Bulls fan, I would welcome him with open arms).

He is the best player in the league. I recognize and accept that. When you begin to talk about all time greats that is where I jump off the boat. He has always been overrated as a defender. This notion that he can guard every position on the floor is absurb. He checked Kendrick Perkins during the entirety of that series against OKC. Rarely does he ever guard the best player on any team for any length of time. He guarded Derrick Rose for a few possessions during the series against the Bulls and everyone labeled him a lockdown defender. As an offensive player he has always had holes in his game. Can't post and isn't that great of a one on one player. Rarely if ever is Lebron James double teamed. It was that way in Cleveland also. He does have a solid all around game though I don't think he is great at any one thing. It's not that I don't recognize him as an elite player I do but he had to play with two players who were considered to be top 10 NBA at the time in order to get a championship. That will always take a little luster off for me. The whole Mount Rushmore thing is another thing that I differ with. I would take an in his prime Tim Duncan over Lebron James any day. He has five rings and at no time has he been on a team that had a first team all nba guy on it. In terms of the Bulls I just want to see them beat Lebron James. It is purely from a competitive standpoint. It is not because I think he is a jerk or anything. If it means giving up the entire team in order to acquire him I definitely don't want to see him in a Bulls uniform.

For your next trick, please try to work in a Wild Bill reference. Bing! Or was he Bong?

Bing! A severely overweight Cook County Jail corrections officer who lived alone in Hyde Park, loved listening to the Score and was a font of sports trivia. Sadly, he passed some 12-14 years ago.

Wild Bill? Sooner than that. I think he called Mac's show in 2009.

I wasn't listening to sports radio 12 years ago and I heard him. Isn't he the guy who sounded like he was going to die on air?

Wild Bill was still around as of a couple years ago. I know I've heard him. He may even still be with us.

No, he's dead. But it's only been a few years. Sweica leaving radio to bake cakes broke his heart.

What ever happened to here? That's back when the score was desirous to see a woman do well as a host.

Northwestern grad, sports radio host, pastry chef. That resume is stranger than mine.

She was a fantastic host of Hit and Run.

She had to have been mental.

All these other women who are local hosts are nailing stars of the team. She chose Bevington. That is some low self esteem.

I never liked her or the woman who is probably still breastfeeding her son.

Anne Maxfield is one of the dumbest people I've ever heard on the radio. Right up there with Jesse Rogers and Fred Hubner.

She kind of looks like the female Ed Farmer.

I had completely forgotten about Maxfield. Imagine the hate she must have for North after getting talked into leaving a cushy job at WGN to be his radio partner in name only.

I appreciate the Les is a guy who clearly loves his job. It is who he is and retirement is not an option as he would be doing the same type of thing if he didn't work in the industry. Seeing that he is on the air 25% of the day now and is at the station much more than that, I'd take your side on that bet.

I used to love it when Benkowski was doing his access show at some local bar that was extremely warm. The camera lens would fog over and you would get to experience bad sports talk shot through fog. It was the access sports equivalent of watching Young Lady Chatterly on Skinemax. Except Harley McBride and her partner were replaced by Pat and some fat, drunk, mustachioed dude at the Mudbug.
